Re: 1st Chilean miner rescued

Holy Cow! Was Jesus down there too?

I don't know what the forman's name was but when he saw how much rock had come down he
rationed the food and water and made it last. That same forman insisted that he wouldn't leave
until all his men were out, and he didn't.

I never heard that fishes were served.

Unfortunately, Talloola there are sick people in the world that just can't accept happy events without trying to find a black cloud or an ulterior motive or something sinister (sorry Dexter & Bar). Obama seemed like a breath of fresh air but within a few months people couldn't refrain from bad mouthing him before he even had a chance. Now the head honcho of Chile is being denigrated for no valid reason. A lot of it just boils down to the fact that losers hate success.

that's right.

i'm simply enjoying this day, (for them) and realizing how they and all of their families must feel.
I also try to imagine if one of those men was part of my family, and how much worry and loss of sleep
happened by 'all', during the days of waiting.

Yeah, it's strange how an event like this can just lift your mood for a day or so, even though we aren't familiar with any of the people and don't even have much knowledge of the situation. I guess we just get so beaten down with all the bad news that something like this is a shock to the system.

Re: 1st Chilean miner rescued

Few will ever know the brotherhood of miners and the sisterhood of the wives. That's too bad because society really really needs more of that.

Re: 3 Chilean miners leave hospital

One of the 33 rescued miners said that really there was 34 of them down there, because God never abandoned them.

I wonder what the all-wise, all-knowing atheists who consider anyone who believes a dolt, think of that?
