Take a look at France... They installed a marginal tax of 75% on all income over 1 million Euros... The money has fled leaving only middle and low incomes to cover off all the costs of society.

This is the kind of reaction one might expect to counter-act the 'fair share' crowd that perpetually gouges in order to buy more and more votes

If a maximum of $100,000 income tax was established that would preclude having to do what France did.

What would be fair is everyone paying the same amount of money. What you make is irrelevant.

Look this is an old argument that resulted in the present legislation. It was because they knew at the time that the citizens would lynch the lot of them if such an idea was legislated into law. And they were right. Yall want a fair tax to replace an income tax and five ten percent of the voters might support your new tax. Why don't we just leave the tax havens alone for now eh. You can revisit your idea when Harpler becomes PM for life or until the emergency measures act thingy he proclaims expires. I don't think we are approaching the age of fair.

The freeloaders rarely are about being fair. Just about having someone else pay.

Yes well an empty stomach and wet frum slush sallyann sneakers will make you do things.

That's not fair.

There's a hierarchy of freeloaders and the unemployed nor the poor are anywhere near the upper earners of that club. Take fer instance a business venture like the F-35. Corporate welfare bums rule the field.
