Poor Duffy! According to him, he's been picked on and pushed around ever since he became a Senator. BooHoo!
I think he's just a slimy little slug with an axe to grind with Harper for allowing the inquiry into the Senate in the first place. He's out for revenge.
Harper was betrayed by his own staff. He told Duffy to pay back the $90,000 and that Nigel would take care of it, meaning that Nigel would arrange for it to be paid back. Instead, Nigel paid it for Duffy out of government funds. Now how is that Harper's fault? Is it because he trusted that it would be taken care of properly?
One would think Harper was on trial here, not Duffy.
Senators have been spending taxpayer's money irresponsibly for decades. The best thing about this Duffy trial is that they whole Senate came under scrutiny and hopefully at least some of the corruption will be stopped.

I know! I know! It's small-minded and mean of me to bring up a man's looks, but my evil alter ego makes me see Duffy as repulsive looking. I can't help it; he reminds me of a slug. If he was left naked in the sunlight he would cook and die.

Mike Duffy testifies that Stephen Harper insisted he represent P.E.I.

Mike Duffy, testifying for the first time at his criminal trial, said former prime minister Stephen Harper ignored his concerns about being appointed a senator for P.E.I. and insisted that if he were to join the Senate, he must represent that province.

Tuesday marked Duffy's first chance to speak at length publicly since before the trial began on April 7. Since then he has stayed largely silent, ignoring the throngs of reporters as he has entered and exited the Ottawa courthouse.

Duffy has pleaded not guilty to 31 charges of fraud, breach of trust and bribery related to expenses he claimed as a senator and later repaid in March 2013 with $90,000 from Nigel Wright, who at the time was chief of staff for Harper.

Duffy will now have the opportunity to justify, legally, his series of controversial expense claims, which the Crown contends weren't related to Senate or government business and shouldn't have been billed to the taxpayer.

It's a shame that Harper's legacy will be about scandals, corruption and ruining the Canadian economy.

It's been a real blight on conservatism and the fallout from this could last decades.
come on Mentalfloss, use some others happenings which is part of Harpers legacy, such as using the courts, law enforcements for political means and agendas, the list is endless, don't go light on your words.
