I think in some serious case though one does not come to mind
at the moment, where a politician could be bothered at home. It would have to be very
serious though. For the most part a politician should not have their home surrounded
or staked out for any kind of media event. The same goes for innocent families where
someone in that family has committed a crime.

I cannot think of ANY case where a politician should be surprised at home and their children frightened. For serious events, they have staffs, on-call personnel and contact numbers. In an emergency, a phone call suffices, if for nothing else than to warn that a meeting is needed.

I have no objection to satiricists mocking politicians or any other public figures, and that includes accosting them (within reason) in public locations. A person's residence, however is not public domain.

They were trespassing, and needed permission before pulling off this type of thing. Ford should have used a baseball bat on the trespassers.

Be damned!! Shoulda happened when the LGR is no more, and he coulda shot'em.......................................NOT THAT I'D SUPPORT VIOLENCE..................no indeed.............but, truthfully, it's time for Delahunty to take a kick in the nuts. - Margaret or no.

22 hours or whatever it is, is long past it's time. Tacky comedy at it's best. Gives Canadian comedy a bad name. Makes Don Cherry look good. And that's a damn shame.

Ford, on the other hand, shoulda dun standup.....................fat douche!!

Ford can get 911 call recording if he asks for it: Toronto police

If Rob Ford asks Toronto police for a recording of the 911 call he made Monday morning after he was ambushed at his home by This Hour Has 22 Minutes, they will release it to him.

The contents of that call have stirred fresh controversy for the embattled mayor following a CBC News report alleging that Ford insulted the 911 dispatcher in a profanity-laced tirade.

Ford has admitted to using the f-word in the call, but has denied insulting the female operator, calling the CBC report “absolutely false.”

The CBC is standing by their story. “There were multiple sources who gave us information about the 911 call,” said CBC News spokesman Chris Ball. “We have reconfirmed with our sources and they stand behind what they have told us.”

He'll probably get the recording and clear his name..

.. unless he's lying.

Pressure mounts for Mayor Ford to release tape of 911 call

If Rob Ford asks Toronto police for a recording of the 911 calls he made after he was ambushed at his home by This Hour Has 22 Minutes, they will release it to him.

• He said, she said: Mary Walsh vs Rob Ford (I strongly recommend clinking this link)

“It could be released to him and he could do with it whatever he chose,” said police spokesman Mark Pugash.

The disputed contents of that call have stirred fresh controversy for the embattled mayor following a CBC News report alleging Ford berated the 911 dispatcher in a profanity-laced tirade.

Ford admitted to using the F-word in the call, but has denied insulting the female operator, calling the CBC report “absolutely false.”

But pressure was mounting Thursday against Ford from within City Hall to obtain and release the tapes to set the allegations straight.

Left-wing councillor Joe Mihevc said “it's absolutely important for the tapes to be released to clear the air,” adding Torontonians should know how their elected officials treat city staff.

Yeah, I hear you, but as a politician, you'd think knowing who the character
of Marg Delahunty is would just be.......prudent?

And you don't have to actually watch 22 Minutes to hear about their exploits. The MSM does a good job of letting the rest of us know what they have been up too.

Ambushing someone at their home with their daughter in tow is not the best way to go about doing a comedy skit - some places should be off limits. That said, Rob Ford must lead a very sheltered life.............he didn't know who Margaret Atwood is and now he doesn't recognize Marge..........you should get out a bit more Rob.

I'm fairly certain that Ron Ford is illiterate.

Approval ratings are more or less irrelevant right now, he's got another three years to go.

You're talking about legitimate political power.

I'm talking about the weekly comedy sketch starring bozo the clown.

3 more years of hilarity will be taken away from me!! *shakes fist*

If he lives for his whole term, a coronary certainly isn't an impossibility.
