A man has died one day after RCMP used a Taser on him in Leduc, Alta., a spokesperson for Alberta's Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) says.

The 27-year-old man was taken into custody Friday night following an altercation with three RCMP officers at a gas station on the corner of 50th Street and 50th Avenue.

ASIRT Executive Director Clifton Purvis said officers used a conducted energy weapon, or Taser, to subdue the man before handcuffing him.

The Toronto Transit guy the cops murdered was not really a threat they could
have taken him without killing him. In Alberta there is a whole slew of cop
incidents that make you wonder what the hell is with the police. The commanders
need to take control of things and soon before the public rises up

Police? They aren't police anymore. They are law enforcement officers.

The Arsey-MP seem to have a problem with self control, as do Taranna and Ottywaw local "law enforcement officers"

The OPP seem to be a tad more in touch with reality.

Yatim? The TTC guy?

He's the guy who could move 20 ft. in .50 seconds and therefore had to be eliminated.............9 times.

Still think id rather be tasered than shot. Though my first choice would be none of the above.
