Hither and yon
Here is an email I believe may be originating from the Prime Ministers office

Quote:
Two months ago, Canadians elected the Prime Minister with a strengthened mandate to address the global economic crisis. Now, a Socialist-Separatist-driven coalition is attempting to overturn the results of the last election and impose a Prime Minister that Canadians rejected.

The Socialist-Separatist-driven coalition is:

1) An attack on Canada with Separatist participation and a Separatist veto on national decisions

2) An attack on Canada’s democracy after Canadians resoundingly rejected Stéphane Dion as Prime Minister.

3) An attack on Canada’s economy as the Liberals themselves called the NDP “economically-damaging”.

Canada’s Government will use every legal means possible to:

1) Protect Canada from a Separatist Veto and Separatist participation in the government.

2) Protect Canada’s democracy for the imposition of a radical new Government without the people’s consent.

3) Protect Canada’s economy from an economically-damaging agenda for the country.

Canadians voted for leadership in this global economic crisis, Canadian leadership. There can be no Socialist-Separatist-driven coalition without the people’s consent.

It’s time to Stand up for Canada.

It’s time to Let the People Speak.

Unbelievable. Mention Bloc and it's like the black plague.

Very sad indeed.

A personal opinion and observation.

Socialist? Whoopie Doo

Separatists? Exaggeration on something that isn't even a logical threat.

Over turning the election results? Hardly, they are merely doing exactly what this past election allowed them to do based on what the people voted for. The Government works by all the other parties working together for an end result.... if one party will not co-operate and the other parties are in agreement, then the case is closed, they can form their own coalition and continue to run the government.

If people don't like that, they can move to the US or some place else, because that's how it is run here.

The Socialist-Separatist-driven coalition is:
1) An attack on Canada with Separatist participation and a Separatist veto on national decisions

Which is no different then how the government has been running for decades + .... many bills may not have ever passed unless they got the support from other parties.... the Bloc included. The Bloc have supported bills and everything else over the years from the Conservatives, the NDP and the Liberals.... this is nothing new and it is not a threat to Canada.

2) An attack on Canada’s democracy after Canadians resoundingly rejected Stéphane Dion as Prime Minister.

Wrong. Based on our Democracy and how it operates, this is exactly how it works. When you look at the numbers, Canadians resoundingly rejected all parties and all party leaders as Prime Minister..... Harper just won by default through a few extra votes.... but not a majority, and therefore the option for a Coalition is allowed, based on the decisions of those we just voted for.

3) An attack on Canada’s economy as the Liberals themselves called the NDP “economically-damaging”.

Who cares? At least they are willing to work together and think up some kind of plan, as opposed to an idiot PM and Con party that hasn't done a damn thing since they became the leaders of the minority. Hell, not too long ago, H. Clinton was attacking Obama, yet Obama and Clinton will be working together in the new government.

Sh*t happens.

’s Government will use every legal means possible to:

No, a small part of Canada's Government will.....

Protect Canada from a Separatist Veto and Separatist participation in the government.

OOooooo.... me so scared..... correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't the Bloc participated in the government since they were originally formed? What's the difference now?

None.

Protect Canada’s democracy for the imposition of a radical new Government without the people’s consent.

Get some education on how the Democracy works.... they don't need the people's consent, or it would have been explained and laid out in detail way back when this form of Democracy was being created that they needed it.

This is a decision for the Gov. General, not the people. (One of the few things the Gov. General actually does)

Protect Canada’s economy from an economically-damaging agenda for the country.

How? By doing nothing? Yeah that's been working so well. This group of parties has a collective history of balancing budgets and getting things done.... while the Conservatives have a history of blowing all the money on stupid things and not ever really doing their jobs unless it is to their benifit.

Canadians voted for leadership in this global economic crisis, Canadian leadership. There can be no Socialist-Separatist-driven coalition without the people’s consent.

Calling it something doesn't actually make it something now does it? Get a Clue Harper and Conservatives.

It’s time to Stand up for Canada.

You're right... by letting this Coalition form and take over.

It’s time to Let the People Speak.

They already spoken.
