So I already posted a version of this Lullaby I wrote called 'Go to Sleep' on this website.

I recently recorded a new version of the ballad with an updated bridge.

My guitar is a little sketchy and the vocals are a bit juiced, but I'd like your opinions on this track just the same.

The birth of my daughters inspired me to pen this song.

Hah!

My elderly Mom said the same thing..."Oh my, this song is making me very sleepy." lol!

I'm in the circles of musicians, so I'll try to get a keyboard arrangement to back up the tune and then I'll repost the new track on this thread.

Well...I got a real 'hoot' out of this one for sure.

I sent my Lullaby to an outfit in Nashville called SongWritersMusicGroup.

This was their critique of my tune...

"We think your song has “Hit” song potential and we feel a lot of people
will be able to relate to this song if properly presented. You should
not “pitch” your recording to music industry professionals. It is too
slow, needs a music break and the chorus repeated. Your recording also
sounds dated, like something from the 1960's.

But then they go on to offer me a recording contract. If I send them $795.00, a group of professional vocalists and musicians will redo my song.

What do you make of all of this? Is it a scam? Your thoughts?

I figure right out of the gate, if they really liked my song they'd offer to buy it off of me. My Spidey senses are tingling on this one.
