Marital arts displays, music shows and cultural activities were also held in streets across the West End.

Hmmm... When I said 'privately funded', I meant by a non-governmental source, not by a foreign government.

Then again, the British aren't known for balancing budgets. They're just as bad as we are. So it was probably state funded.
