It's funny...

You're own childhood seems to last forever, but when you have kids of your own their youth just flies by in the blink of an eye. Seems I remember just like last week bringing home the two newborns...and now they're sassy, techno-whizzy, wonderful little teenagers.

I think once you hit about the age of 25 the decades really start to tumble. You enter the workforce...book holidays...rinse, repeat. Each year simply melts into the next.

At 51 years of age, I don't feel like my best days are behind me. I feel more like a late bloomer, and better things are to come.

My quote on fatherhood? "Long days. Fast years."

Cheers to middle age, though! I'm old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyways! ;)
