7th game of the WS in 1960: Pittsburgh wins 10-9 in only 2 hours and 36 minutes
compare that to this game today ....
by the way, I stand corrected from my line above - this was a 9 inning not 10 inning game

Apparently God hates (and rightly so I might add) Cleveland (the Mistake by the Lake) more than the Cubs. Last won World Series in 1948. Only other appearance was in 1997 where they lost game 7 in extra innings to Florida (the first ever wildcard series winner). I think they now have the longest postseason (at least baseball) drought.

Some poor people in the third world will benefit by the donation of the "Cleveland Indian World Champions T-shirts".
Yep, they can put 'em on over their "Argentina - World Cup Champion" T-shirts. And a dozen others.
Put on six or seven of them T-shirts, it's as good as an overcoat.
It's nice to see the city of Chicago and the thousands of fans in Arizona , the spring home of the Cubs , celebrating a world championship that has been so long in coming. No more, "maybe next year". Very happy my Cubbies finally pulled it off. .
