RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Hey! Good catch, Ricky! I didn't even notice. Geez, I'm starting to understand why I don't get anything done anymore!

On that note, I shall take my JR out for her walk. :)

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Me too *sigh* I tried to shut down the computer, but I couldn't ... some force grabbed my hand and pulled it away from the mouse ... after that, I decided to watch some TV, which made me depressed seeing all those pictures from Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, Indonesia etc. So I was pulled back to the computer again ... and here I am! :)

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Alright. I'm going to risk jumping in here and saying something that may (or maynot) sound incredibly stupid and naive.

Cosmo. I'm sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she is able to get the Rx. What ever helps. My father suffers from a degenerative bone condition which affects his spine. He is on a form of morphine that is extremely powerful and extremely addictive. He had no choice. As a child he had polio and has developed a tolerance to many painkillers. So.....I'm always on the lookout for something. Anything that may relieve his pain.

In that quest I'd learned about bee sting therapy. It's used on MS sufferers because for some reason loosens the muscles and relieves pain (go figure)

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Like the government doesnt tax us enough already?

Legalizing it might be a good idea. But it should be sold in limited quantities. Just like how the convenient store can refuse to sell you alcohol if you seem too intoxicated.

Re: LEGALIZE IT!

Marajuana without a doubt should be legalized!!!!!!!!!!! People say that pot isn't a bad drug but is a gateway to bad drugs the reason being is all drug dealers want is to sell and so they get there clients hooked on other drugs so they'll have more stuff to buy but if they sell it in store that won't happen now willl it? People are gonna smoke it wether it's legal or not but it would be a much better america if it were legal

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

legalizing marajuana would put an aweful dent in the income of criminal biker gangs. Courts would fall into disrepair with lack of youth to prosecute. Our southern border would become very secure. We could quickly collect the $4 billion the U.S. ripped us for softwood lumber.

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Pharmacologically speaking, I'd be in favour of legalizing marijuana (with strict regulations) and making tobacco cigarettes illegal. Health wise the latter is far more dangerous and costly to society and human health. However, not smoking anything at all would be best for one’s health.

We have every right to use whatever substance we wish If it does not directly affect others. Making somthing illegal does nothing, it does not work, never has, never will so why fight it, profit from it.

The profit comes in many forms, social contentment, reduction of policing, reduction of legislation, reduction in organized crime, an increase in revenues and an overall increase in a bussiness friendly environment throughout the entire country. The approach can be negative or positive I prefer the positive approach.

Canada can not afford more negative legislation in this regard and it is just some peoples narrow opinions and lack of vision that keep us from breaking open and really getting the economy rolling. The "What will other countries think" argument does not fly, we are in charge of our own affairs and if others do not like it, to bad. If they wish to slap up border regulations then fine, its their money, people and time. go ahead and do it.

What right does some governing body or health related organization think they have to tell a private bussiness owner he or she can no longer have as a type of clientele on their premises. Are they prepared to pay the bills that thier blanket decisions cost the business owners? Probably not, so they have no right to make those decisions, period. That is simply another form of discrimination which we have and do fight so hard to avoid.

"Gee whiz, I sure hate having that strip club here."-So, don't go in the place.

"Ewwww, that coffee shop allows smokers" -Well, what is your decision then?

Attitude and tolerance are everything and it can not be all one way and not the other. This thread is again about the rights of people, just on form 2b instead of form 6c. How many problems could be eliminated by simply allowing people to do what they want and when they want so long as their activities are not directly affecting someone else. Regulate things , sure, but attempts to prevent people from doing what they wish is futile it probably just makes some want to do it more, like a banned book or movie.

Please, legalize all of it, every substance that has been invented, is being used and will be created. Organized crime will hate it and the country will be a much better place for it.........

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Weed is not better than pot. Chemical count is about the same. But did you know Marijuana contains 40-50 times MORE tar than an average cigarette?

It kills braincells and renders your brain useless over a period of time and with a lot of people this is no reversable.

Marijuana should only be used for medicinal purposes to ease the pain of diseases such as cancer. As for the full out legalization of it, I don't think this should happen.
