RE: LEGALIZE IT!

I do. If my house is a mess and/or dirty and someone stops in to visit I can't relax and I have to explain constantly why my house is in such a state. It's not the act of cleaning I find enjoyable. It's the end result. A sparkling clean and neat home.

I'm a bit obsessive about it. I can't handle clutter or disorganization. I go from being my sweet nice self to bitch in meer seconds.

A cluttered room is a cluttered mind. My dad use to always say this. I completely believe it. by the way I was fortunate enough to have the best father in the world.

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Aha I see ... I believe that's also the same line of thinking my mom applies ... She just can't stand the floor being dirty or so, and when she knows someone is coming over for a visit, she always starts cleaning furiously ... We said to her it's an obsession ... She said she just wants a clean house ... I've come to the conclusion that her idea of cleanliness is not the same as mine.

Fags are worse then pot, with more chemicals! At least pot has some medical properties to it that could help the general public. :!:  8O [/b]

True, cigarettes are worse than pot, but smoking pot is worse than not smoking pot. I mean what is the point, think of all the complications associated with a society high people.

When could one smoke it? What age would people be allowed to smoke it? Why would we only allow pot, why not other drugs? We have enough trouble with drunk drivers, what about high drivers.

What is the everyday benefit of it to a healthy person. If your life is that sad that you need chemicals to espace than something is wrong that no drug can fix.

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Of course, it's better not to smoke pot than to smoke it. However, as it seems, pot is no more dangerous than alcohol or cigarettes. It's a form of pleasure for some, like alcohol and cigarettes.

About the medical properties: marijuana relaxes the body. It has proven to be helpful for people who are in a lot of pain, but oppose to use painkillers to ease the pain. In that case, marijuana could be a very good alternative option.

I don't doubt the medical application of marijuana. As it being a form of pleasure, I understand that is how it is perceived. I for one would rather get a natural "high" rather than one that is chemically induced.

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Same on me. Because after all, just like alcohol, fastfood or tabacco, marijuana can (I say CAN) still pose a certain threat in certain occasions. I'd rather stay clean (I don't use tabacco either ... only alcohol ... and so once in a while fast food :p )

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Well, it should be interesting to see what the Dr. says in January when my better half asks him for a perscription for medical marijuana. Apparently here in BC you can get an Rx for it.

Marijuana is one of the only things that works for her MS. It makes a huge difference. And it is WAY better than being hooked on narcotic pain killers.

Thanks Ricky ... but ya get what you're dealt in life. :) Just make the best of it. Could be worse ... she's pretty amazing when it comes to staying upbeat and positive about it all. Very brave woman. Makes it much easier for me.

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

She's been sick off and on for almost 10 years, but it got very bad about 18 months ago and she got her diagnosis about a year ago. She's still fairly mobile, with a cane, and the doc says it seems to have plateaued at this level. He doesn't expect it to get worse until her next relapse which could be anywhere from days to years away. With MS you just never know.

The worst part is she is a musician and is unable to perform anymore. At least we did get her into a studio and get a few songs recorded before it got too bad, but not being able to play and write music has been tough on her. We're hoping she'll improve enough to get back to writing at least. I'm in the process of building a website for her to sell some of the music she's written. Actually, I'm just starting it. Gotta learn all about MP3's to do it but since I'm not working right now (I have fibromyalgia so we're quite the geriatric ward around here!) I'm looking forward to the learning.

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

I see. An old friend of mine has a mother with MS, so I have been faced with the effects. I just hate it ... well I hate every disease of course, but it's terrible to see how MS can have such a tremendous negative effect on the human body. I hope your wife recovers enough to at least be able to write songs again. I'm looking forward to the MP3's :) And if there's anything I can do, promote the music back here on the European mainland whatsoever, just say it OK :) And I also hope that the fibromyalgia will go away soon - although I have to admit that I don't know much about the disease, so I don't know what the effects can be on the body, it has to do with musclepain right?

RE: LEGALIZE IT!

Ya, Rick ... fibro is kinda feels like being hit by a truck. It's like having a really bad flu day after day. But I'm getting back on track. :)

Thanks for the offer. Once I get her music into MP3 format I'll send it to you. Might have to pick your smart brain for some lessons on MP3 stuff ... but we'll move over to the computer thread to to that ;)

Re: LEGALIZE IT!

 Hey, it worked ... you sound like one of the brainiacs! I probably do have such a program on this computer. It's a brand new Dell with a CD/DVD burner so I'm sure it has all the stuff I need. I just have to get off this damn forum long enough to have a look for it! :)
