Lack of French on British labels gets food yanked

Maybe Britain is conflicted about being in the EU and still harbours grudges against the French dating to 1759 or earlier? Maybe British glue doesn't stick to tinned goods? Did the subs have bilingual labels with product warnings?

The Queen speaks French. Is she really British?

I do a fair bit of shopping at an Asian Grocer close to my home.
Many of the products are from the opposite side of the globe
with neither French or English on the origional packaging.

In these cases, there is a sticker on the side of the packaging
or can, etc....with the info needed in English & French.

Maybe this is a Saskatchewan innovation though, or maybe
there is a shortage of stickers in Newfoundland. Maybe the
stickers are imported from Britain and do not have bilingual
packaging. Catch 22. ;-)

In certain shops in Ottawa I've seen the shop itself just slap a bilingual sticker on too.
