King Charles III and Queen Camilla have welcomed the Qatari Emir (King) and his wife to their State Visit to Great Britain.

As is usual with the British, the event was celebrated by great pomp, pageantry and glitz with members of the Government as well as Royals in attendance.

The King spoke of the "enduring friendship" between Great Britain and the small Middle Eastern nation.

Among the guests were British Foreign Secretary David Lammy and Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch.

Britain pulls out the usual pomp and pageantry and she welcomes the Qatari King and Queen...

The Qatari Emir (King) meets British Army officer cadets at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (which he attended) as Britain and ally Qatar reveal the UK-Qatari Typhoon Air Squadron, Britain's first Joint Squadron since 1945.

British and Qatari Typhoon pilots will train and operate together.

Former Manchester United, Real Madrid and England footballer David Beckham, 49, and his former Spice Girls wife Victoria, 50, attended their first ever State Banquet tonight.

Becks and Posh Spice made their appearance at the lavish State Banquet at Buckingham Palace tonight for the Qatari King and Queen as Beckham is a sporting ambassador to Qatar.

The British gave the Qatari Head of State a lavish welcome to their country in a way that no other country can match.

Nice to see thhise photos. The Royal family has certainly had it's share of challenges this past year. Hope the Queen is feeling better. Looks great in photo.
Charles looks a tad tired. One can understand why. Katherine is lovely, as usual. and I assume is still a tad delecate following the long period of CA treatments.
The very best to them all.

The Queen has revealed she is feeling “a bit tired” following her bout of pneumonia.

Queen Camilla, 77, was asked about her health when she joined domestic abuse survivors, advocates and staff from Women's Aid to celebrate the organisation's 50th anniversary.

In an impromptu speech, the Queen vowed to help end domestic abuse and said: "It's terrible that after 50 years it still has to be eradicated but we are making progress."
