The King and His Excellency the Governor of Bermuda Andrew Murdoch

His Majesty King Charles III is back in Britain - albeit a part of Britain which is 3,500 miles from the mainland.

It's the King's first visit to the British Overseas Territory - located 650 miles off the coast of South Carolina - since he opened that territory's parliament as Prince of Wales in 1970.

His Majesty - who writes his own speeches - hailed Bermuda as "a most cherished and important member of the British Family..."

He cracked jokes during his speech, something for which he is known.

It's the first day of his visit to the British territory...
