Unsuitable in that it could leave an appeal open when that may not be the situation with another Judge. If it had no bearing on anything then why is it even news worthy?

It also shouldn't be possible for a Queen's Bench Judge to rule on a Landlord/Tenant case that can be successfully appealed yet it happens so is the Judge incompetent or just making money for the Lawyers and the Courts?

Oh, he would be "unsuitable?"

A trans* person shouldn't be allowed any judicial involvement in a case in which sexual orientation is a factor? Should only cis-gendered, heterosexual justices be allowed to hear cases involving sexual orientation? Last I heard, heterosexuality is also a sexual orientation.
When roughly 85% of the population is hetero, then no, it's not an "orientation", it's the natural order of things. It's how reproduction naturally occurs in mammals, like humans.
Like it or not, trans and homosexuality are aberrations within the human species. That's not to say there's something inherently bad about them, they are just different from the norm.

Of course none of what I just said is intended to suggest that Kael McKenzie would be unsuitable to hear such cases. I think what's being questioned is if he would be able to compartmentalize his personal experiences and not let them influence his decision.

' not let them influence his decision.' That could also be just for appearances sake rather than it being a distinct possibility.

Someone in such deep moral and emotional confusion will have no objective standard from which to adjudicate. She is clearly unfit for this office. She needs to get her head checked... she's a delusional narcissist.
