Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s oldest son is ready to enter the spotlight.

But he’s not following in his father’s footsteps toward a career in politics.

Xavier Trudeau, 17, is set to release his first song, titled “Til The Nights Done,” on Feb. 21, a pop-friendly R&B number that is in the same vein as Justin Bieber’s more contemporary output.

He shared a snippet of the song to his nearly 22,000 Instagram followers last week alongside hashtags for R&B, pop, rapper, singer and artist.

“We could roll sum, we could light one,” reads part of the lyrics in the video from the aspiring singer, who also goes by Xav.

In the 16-second clip, Xavier Trudeau wears a hooded sweater with 1977 printed on the back. He is filmed on the streets of Ottawa and at a recording studio before he is seen jumping into an SUV.

On his Instagram bio, fans are directed to contact management company Pathway Music Group via email.

“Good work guys,” his mother, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, commented on the post.

Younger sister Ella Trudeau replied “this is fire” with two fire emojis.

Duava, a Sri Lankan-Canadian singer-songwriter who helped produce the single, also shared some words of encouragement.

“We doing it Xav,” he wrote. “Bounce coming up,” he added in a second comment.

The update from the teen is currently the only post on his account, besides archived Instagram Stories which highlight his time playing high school basketball, family trips, concerts, sporting events and other life experiences from the past two years.

The reveal by Trudeau’s son comes at a time when the prime minister is set to step down as Canada’s leader following a leadership race that is underway. The Liberal Party will determine their new leader and the country’s next prime minister at a party convention on March 9.

Meh, Jimmy Carter's brother did it too. When you're the zero-talent relative of somebody rich, famous, and/or powerful, you get to siphon off a little of that for a short and embarrassing "career."

Hell, just look at Trump's spawn.

This is 3rd (or 4th) generation of it with the Trudeau name…& hopefully for the boy (the youngest one), he got what the great grandfather had.

A friend of mine went to high school with the Trudeau's.

In between the ages of Justin and Michel.

Justin has always been an @$$hole but Michel was apparently an amazing kid.

Justin Trudeau's son, Xavier Trudeau, has launched his music career.
Justin Trudeau's son, Xavier Trudeau, has launched his music career.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s political career might be nearly finished, but his eldest son’s music career is at the starting blocks.

Xavier Trudeau, 17, dropped it like it was hot on Friday afternoon, officially releasing his first song (and accompanying music video), Til The Nights Done, on his YouTube channel.

“Get ready because I’m excited,” the artist who goes by the name Xav said during a promotional appearance on Global News 640 Toronto’s The John Oakley Show on Friday afternoon. “2025 is definitely going to be big.”

The song is similar in sound and mood to some tracks from fellow Canadians Justin Bieber and Drake, the latter of whom the prime minister’s son said he’d love to one day collaborate with.

The teen said he has been exploring making music for about a year now and “really, the last six months is when I’ve been more serious.”

Til The Nights Done demonstrates a moody vibe Xav said he was hoping to convey — “dark R&B, sort of mysterious.”

What’s more, his foray into music has provided him with an opportunity to step out from under the shadow of his well-known politician dad.

“I want to do my own thing, I want to create my own identity, which is part of why I’m doing (music.) I want to be known for something other than the son of (Justin Trudeau),” he said on the radio program.

The song includes the lyrics “we could roll sum, we could light one.” Xav, whose father helped legalize marijuana, said the lyrics in his music are open to interpretation.

“I like lyrics because people can take them any way,” he said on the radio show, adding his first single is “about relationships and it’s about the ups and downs. Whether you’re in a love relationship or friendship, there’s always those challenges. I just think it tells a great story.”

The song features additional vocals from his younger sister, Ella-Grace Trudeau, 16.

“My sister was super helpful,” he said.

As for what’s next, Xav said there will be another single on the way and a tour is “definitely in the works” for this year.

The musician had launched the pop/R&B-infused song on major streaming services at 12 a.m. on Friday.

“WE LIVE LETS GOOO,” read a post on his Instagram Stories accompanied by five Canada flag emojis.

Last month, Xav shared a snippet of the song to his Instagram followers (he now has more than 25,000 of them).

In the music video, Xav is filmed on the streets of Ottawa and at a recording studio before he is seen jumping into an SUV.

“Good work guys!” proud mom Sophie Gregoire Trudeau previously commented on Instagram.

Last month, Justin Trudeau announced he will step down as prime minister and end his nine-year stretch as Canada’s leader.
