Think of all the things going on in the world, war famine civil unrest
we have senators who are ripping us off and a government in this
country that could care less about the average guy.
All of that in the background and what do we see on the front page
and on TV even serious news coverage time devoted to, to TOO,
Justin Bieber. For gods sake he's a 19 year old kid with too much
money.
He will spiral along getting worse for a while then he will go to rehab
and become a hero like Britney Spears, all she did was smarten up.
We are shocked by such behavior really? How come we were not
shocked at Elvis and his drugs, and others who like James Dean who
was a bad boy? Oh we were shocked, well not like this. Today we
are shocked by everything because the media or Dr Phil says we
should be shocked.
I am surprised at all the coverage cause in my book he doesn't rate
high enough to be a national embarrassment. Lets all cast our eyes
up now and move on. A national embarrassment is Rob Ford and
Senator Duffy.

You can bet Ford and Duffy and Harper and Obama and Cruz and Boehner thank and bless Justin Bieber every day for taking the light off them.

Justin Bieber has just been declared a “national embarrassment” by one of the biggest media companies in his native land of Canada. According to Hollywood Life on March 30, the article in the Globe and Mail is written by Amberly McAteer, who admits there was such high hopes for Bieber when he first started out, but those have all been squashed by his behavior lately.

While the author of the article defended Bieber somewhat by saying he is young and many people go through a rebellious time at that age, she still said he was a “national embarrassment.” It seems the shirtless walk through a Polish airport was the straw that got the writer's pen going on Justin Bieber.

The shirtless outings, along with him spitting at a neighbor and grabbing his crotch for pictures and while on stage, all adds up to a big embarrassment. Not to mention the alcohol and drugs along with his foul mouth that belongs in a sewer at times. Bieber's “F-bomb” rants are not considered cute at all.

Justin Bieber has been in the U.S. headlines for months now with titles suggesting he is heading for a fall and condemning his inappropriate behavior. He's always said he loves Canada, but the question now is, will Canada still love him if he continues down this road. Along with Amberly's article a poll for the readers asked about Justin's behavior. A whooping 70% believe Bieber is headed for disaster!

And sometimes even if you aren't. Bieber's origins are nothing to gasp about.
Born dirt poor like most of us.

h/t Wikipedia

Justin Drew Bieber was born on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario, at St Joseph's Hospital,[13][14] and was raised in Stratford, Ontario.[15] He is the son of Jeremy Jack Bieber and Patricia "Pattie" Mallette. Bieber's mother was 17 years old when she became pregnant. His parents were never married, but maintain a close friendship and common goals regarding their son's personal and professional life. Mallette raised her son with the help of her mother, Diane, and stepfather, Bruce.[16] In September 2012, Mallette's memoirs, titled Nowhere but Up, were published. The book tells of her early life and her work with her son to pursue a career in the music industry. In her book, as well as in an interview with the Today show, Mallette talked about how everyone around her tried to push her toward abortion, and how she refused to abort her baby.[17] Mallette worked a series of low-paying office jobs, raising Bieber as a single mother in low-income housing. Bieber has maintained contact with his father, who married another woman and had two children.[18][19]
Bieber's paternal great-grandfather was German, and his father's other ancestry is English and Irish.[20][21] Bieber's mother is French Canadian.[22][23] He has stated that he believes that he has some undetermined Aboriginal Canadian ancestry.[24] He attended a French-language immersion elementary school in Stratford, the Jeanne Sauvé Catholic School.[16]
Interested in hockey, soccer, and chess, he kept his musical aspirations to himself.[18] As he grew up, Bieber taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet.[15][25] In early 2007, aged 12, Bieber sang Ne-Yo's "So Sick" for a local singing competition in Stratford and was placed second.[25][26] Mallette posted a video of the performance on YouTube for their family and friends to see. She continued to upload videos of Bieber singing covers of various R&B songs, and Bieber's popularity on the site grew.[9]

just to make it clear, he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth...he grew up in a little house in Stratford, he wanted to sing and he would go all around Stratford and just sing in public....

I have a couple opinions regarding Beiber.

1. He's not a national embarrassment...he was fine when we had him.

2. Is it the fame that got to him, or the fame coupled with bullying on an international scale? How many kids do you think you could take, and have a world express hatred for them while cash rolled in, and have it not twist them? I used to be appalled by the things people would say they wanted to see happen to him just because he was talented and girls liked him. If it caught my attention and made me feel a bit sick in the few instances I saw, just imagine what it would do to him over a career. Would you grow to respect and love the world?
gotta be hard on his mum and his grandparents too who are just regular folk... would be good to see the kid has his dream but hard to watch the rest of the stuff

lol you don't think it's kind of a mean nasty thing to say about a kid?

Nah, I could be nice and go along with drag racing while under the influence of mind altering substances but then if someone got killed I would feel horrible and so would he. I wasn't passing a life sentence on the guy, but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
