Besides Security Measures; to keep everyone away from Harper Cons and Pals...Harper Cons. whole agenda was/is about OIL/Resources...and Pipelines! That will be his legacy.
With oil prices artificially low. U.S has time to stock pile oil...Prepare for (stalled) pipe line in upcoming election. At which time( if everything goes according to Conservative/Republican plans) Oil prices will climb back to normal, probably higher than normal prices, and...
Liberals will still get minority Gov. in Canada.
Even if Harper Cons. do happen to win election, it will be a minority gov., at which time Harper will step down and Left will merge for Majority.

Yes; Trudeau also supports pipelines...yet, (from what I recall) said he'd do it differently...How exactly he would/will deal with the Pipelines/Oil Sands/Tar Ponds issue(s), is still a question he needs to/will confront.
