Alberta calls in army to assist with wildfire situation
Alberta has called in the Canadian Armed Forces to help assist with the worsening wildfire situation in the province.
There's lots of factors that contributed to what happened here.
Yes, the feds and likely province didn't take fire threats seriously enough to plan ahead and have the resources and equipment needed.
But there's also lack of proper care for the forests.
Climate Change.
Fire fighters being underpaid, overworked and no new people being hired to replace the retiring ones.
This situation shouldn't have happened, especially after McMurray. There is NO excuse for it by either government bodies. None.

Climate change didn’t leave all the dead trees for fuel for a fire. The Feds did. Poor forest management in the National Park is why this is happening
More importantly, how much have successive govts slashed forestry budgets over the last 40 years? This ain't all on Trudeau. It was caused by 40+ years of govts in the US and Canada listening to know-nothing , literal tree-hugging whacktivists.
