Buddha was born in what is now Nepal, 2579 yrs ago.

Buddhism does not include the idea of worshipping a creator god, so some people do not see it as a religion in the normal, Western sense. The basic tenets of Buddhist teaching are straightforward and practical: nothing is fixed or permanent; actions have consequences; change is possible.

Buddhism addresses itself to all people irrespective of race, nationality, caste, sexuality, or gender. It teaches practical methods which enable people to realize and use its teachings in order to transform their experience, to be fully responsible for their lives.

No weekly tithe is paid. No churches must be attended. You won't find any cries for violence from anything that the Buddha has written. It's almost 600 yrs older than Christianity and was around 1100 yrs before Islam.

There's no need to quote anything that the Buddha has written. No demands are made by Buddhists. you deal with life yourself. Read it or don't. Your choice.

It happens on the full moon in May or sometimes early June. Inner peace and calm is important.

And don't forget, on your way home, why not stop in and pick up some Purnell's country sausage, 'cause. "It's goo-od!"

Meditation would really help some of you. The serenity of mind calms the nervous system. It makes you free to focus on that which must be done. Placid without pills.
