Maybe he'll go and get a plan.

Dion's plan for the economy: He's going to get a plan for the economy
Posted: October 02, 2008, 11:13 AM by Jonathan Kay
Stéphane Dion: nice guy, but with an annoying habit of outsourcing his judgment to others. Last week, this took the form of asking the Canadian Jewish Congress to make the call on whether 9/11 conspiracy theorist Lesley Hughes should be turfed. This week, he took the same approach on the economy.
Here's Dion at last night's French-language debate, boldly declaring that he will institute a massive reform of our economy — as soon as the nation's Very Smart People tell him what exactly said reform should look like:
>Stephane Dion<**: (Voice of Translator): SO YOU'RE PERFECTLY RIGHT, THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO DO SOMETHING. WE CAN'T JUST LET THINGS CONDITION. SO MYSELF, I PROMISE THAT WITHIN THE FIRST 30 DAYS THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT WILL ASK THE REGULATORY AGENCIES OF CANADA, LIKE THE BANK OF CANADA THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS SO THAT IT BETTER PROTECTS THE SAVINGS OF CANADIANS. AND SO THE MAJOR ECONOMISTS SHOULD ALSO GIVE US AN ASSESSMENT OF THE CANADIAN AND THE WORLD SITUATION.
I especially like the idea that Canada's "major economists" should stand and deliver "an assessment of the Canadian and the world situation" on his command — as if this were some novel exercise for people who make their living doing just that.
In fact, it seems Canada's "major economists" have already delivered their pronouncements. If Stéphane is really interested in what they have to say, he might want to click here — and here, here, here and here. Or better yet: here. It turns out that these Very Smart People have been thinking about these issues for many months — while the chief of the Liberal Party was daydreaming about a carbon tax no one wants.

Harper got smoked last night, and you know one thing that stood out in the OPEN,
was that Dion and Duceppe both reminded Harper that his plagiarized speech was BULL…..Harper will be wearing that one for a while A Bush ass kisser…….

Who Dion is daydreaming? If Dion is day dreaming Walter Harper is sleep walking..........

Harper won't make eye contact and trips up when he's cornered.... Dion's English won't help him.
Its kind of hard when you have 4 opponents yelling at you all the time. I say he did pretty good, considering it was 4 liberals against one, and he was civil and didn't lose his cool...

Who has panicked? It makes sense to have a plan. Dion says the plan will be revenue neutral. I wonder what Harper's plan is? Or Layton's?
Dion said to 'trust him' that it was revenue neutral. Who would trust that guy???

And I just clearly pointed out that it isn't revenue neutral.... I explained in plain monkey english how it isn't.... you don't even need fancy economic numbers to figure it out, basic common sense explains it perfectly.

If you can not file for income tax or you simply do not get your money back from income taxes from various reasons...... you don't get the money you put in, back into your own pocket.... therefore it is not revenue neutral.

If you can't understand this, or just simply want to run away and not address it, that's not my problem.

What you have proven, is that you know nothing about Dion's plan. In any case, there is nothing to stop anyone from filing for an income tax return. Your argument is silly. Perhaps you should brush up on plain English rather than monkey English.

The plan may be revenue neutral if you're insulated from price increases. The working poor, pensioners and folks who otherwise don't have taxable income aren't so lucky. It makes sense to have a plan to attach a tow cable to the moon just in case it forgets to follow ... but hardly feasible either....

I know what the speech was about, anyway if you think about it all the countries on side with it had to have consistent releases, whether you agree with it or not...

Harper was exposed to numerous eye rolling issues, and the Quebecor’s were paying attention.. Duceppe reminded Harper that he is a Bush follower and that Quebecor’s I can assure you they hate war….. He did get smoked……his rating was at 14%

I'm a pensioner myself Wolf so I don't get raises either but both major parties have promised a $600.00 raise to pensioners so it shouldn't hurt too much, As well, there is a wage level, below which you don't pay any carbon tax......I think carbon users should pay and if they use more, they should pay more.

You'll do well... Ontario doesn't care whether the disabled live or die though. Mike Harris dropped pensions by 22% in 1995 and they have gone up by 6% since. It's that kind of care that won't let me consider Harper either....

You actually think Harper or Dion knows where all the material that has been written in their speeches comes from??? You are dumber than I thought.
