My dictionary's definition:

"terrorism"

n : the calculated use of violence (or threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimindation or coercion or instilling fear"

So it would appear that the Israeli gunner firing from 5 miles away is just as much a terrorist as the Pallestinian with the bomb beneath his coat. The main difference I can see is that the '5-mile sniper' is chicken-shit as well. Not willing to give (or even risk) his life for his beliefs.

Because we in the West have most of the tanks, guns and planes we don't consider that the trooper, the gunner and the pilot (as well as whoever gave them the order) are also terrorists.

So if that sniper is taking out a gun-toting Hamas thug, is that terrorism? Technically all the suicide bombers and terrorists are CIVILIANS, since none belong to a states military. Does that make it illegal for soldiers to kill an armed man in defense of their countrymen? Would you cry foul of a PPCLI member gunned down a heavily armed cadre of skinheads who were attacking a mosque? Same thing.

If one is killing combatants, it is not terrorism. If one is killing civilians, you'd better believe it is. The problem is that these terrorists cowardly masquerade as innocent civilians to confuse the issue, and bring death to "their people".

FACT-Israel was formed in 1948.

Yes there were Palestinians but they were being occupied even before Israel come to being.

I see you or anyone have yet to name the Ruler of Palestine.

We are so worse than any of our leaders that none
of us on either side can even appreciate each other's
points on this matter of Israel and Palestine.

We can't hope any of the leaders over there can
do any better than we who are so charmed with
knowledge and intelligence.

There's a middle way, but it won't be found, even
amongst the likes of us here.
