Is it time to make a #metoobrother movement?

Ok. I just re-read your email, and I can't lie, it is a bit creepy. But again, nothing a good talking to and apology can't fix.

The irony is the wording was shaped a lot by another woman. Which goes to show you that women aren't always the best at these types of things either.

You practically raped her. Pig.
But seriously, did I miss something? I mean it is slightly inappropriate, but nothing an apology can't fix. I can't really comment beacuse I did not witness your interactions or conversations prior, nor do I know if that type of thing is in the small print somewhere when you join.

No small print. These types of things frequently aren't written down. I remember a somewhat similar situation in another organization where I liked a woman and I was trying to ask her out. She said: "You can't break the unspoken rule" or something like that. And so it goes.

I don't consider myself to be a socialist. Democratic socialist a la NDP/Bernie/AOC, sure :). That being said, I don't think what happened here was right and I definitely plan on bringing it up in other groups I'm a part of if I'm a part of. In fact, I've already sent 2 electronic messages to 2 other groups about it.
NDP are just communists in Armani suits. There is actually a story behind that one. Back before the 2001 BC election at a couple of all candidate meetings on the North Island most of the candidates showed up in more or less casual clothes, except Sleepy(can't remember his name at the moment but that is what he was called at work)the NDP candidate comes in wearing an Armani suit.

Which unspoken rule would that be?

I don't know how things work in BC (I was born in Vancouver, but my family moved when I was 2). However, here in Toronto, Ontario, I've dealt with not just candidates, but actual elected NDP members who come from humble backgrounds and have been steady voices for the downtrodden.
