I would say yes. So expect much blood to flow.
And this will take generations, not the centuries it took Christianity.

It'd be difficult to do that given there is no formal "church" in Islam. At least nothing compared to the structure and hierarchy of the Catholic Church. Some groups are fairly progressive while others are fundamentalist extremists with everything in between. Sure there are a few Islamist theocracies out there but none of them are considered to be the head of the religion.

And it will be bloody. Genocide, mass murder, minority sects leaving in hordes.

So what's the head of Christianity? Protestant Church, Catholic Church, CoE? JW? Westborough Baptist? Greek Orthodox?

The Catholic Church is the head of Christianity only insofar as it claims itself to be such.

Christian sects, the wide diversity of viewpoints, size of congregations, etc, actually mirror Islam fairly well. The only difference is the authority laid claim to by the Catholic Church, but, I'm willing to bet you can find a sect of Islam that claims it's the head too.

Ahh, the Unholy Roman Catholic Church. The worlds largest and richest corporation where the executives are all liars.

You forgot they are both a farce, their beliefs based in lies and myths stolen from pagans around the world, and that both exist only in an effort to control the minds of the population and lead them into voluntary slavery.

Islam has already gone through a Reformation. Sayyid Qutb played the role of John Calvin and Osama bin Laden played the role of Martin Luther. Now Islam is thoroughly reformed and ready to take the world stage against a hollow West that believes in nothing.

Probably Ahl as-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'h as it's the largest. Of course to each sect in the two aggressive religions, they are the right one. It's pretty funny ("My dad's right and yours is wrong, so there") but sometimes has saddening effects.

Nothing? Nonsense. The replacement gods are Mammon, Plutus, Lakshmi, Renenet, etc.

I have read that Islam has, and has had, far more denominations than Christianity. Don't know if true, it's just what I've read before.

At the time of the reformation the Catholic church would have been the head - though Eastern Orthodox Christians would disagree. They both were pretty brutal and tried to wipe out every other form of Christianity. Now - I guess no one.

A good friend of mine, since childhood, whose family immigrated from Pakistan puts it this way. As long as the people in these Countries remain poor and uneducated the zealots will exploit them indefinitely. Why do you think they throw acid in the faces of girls who want to go to school. Because once the people realize that they don't have to live in fear of God or his self righteous administrators, the crazies running the asylum will be out of work.

That would be why the populace of the US is continually moving closer to poverty and their education is falling faster than meteor. So those in power don't have to work as hard to control them.

Basically the Christian faith has a cornerstone. Church of England, the Catholic Church
the Baptists, and others have a structure and a core belief system within a society setting.
Islam is four winds to thought with no central command as it were and their problem is
they are Tribal, its a circle within a circle as it were.
the world of Islam is about to find its way out of darkness and into the light through the
eyes and minds of the young. It will take another hundred years or more and there will be
a lot of bloodshed before it happens but its on its way.
Unfortunately we have social conservatives trying to take us back into the realm of the faith
whether we want to go there or not.

In some respects, reform is what caused the fanatical reaction.

In the 1800s, the Baha'i faith started growing quickly as a new religion claiming to ahve fulfilled the pro[phesies of the Qur'an. The Persian authorities felt the need to crush it before it grew out of control. They're still struggling with it, the Baha'i faith being the second religion in Iran demographically-speaking!

Really? Who are these social conservatives trying to take us back? I've had no one bang on my door except the odd gentleman carrying Watchtower pamphlets. And I send him on his way everytime.

I find the generalization above somewhat short sighted, there are scores of Conservatives that are not in the least religious.

Surprising that you would make this statement Damngrumpy.

Further to that, there will always be religious zealots, even in the ranks of Liberals.

How could you possibly know this?
