Johnny Utah, even though I totally agree with you that Islamic extremism is a problem and many wrong things are done to innocent people, there is an old saying. Those who live in class houses shouldn't throw stones.

No it's hardly the same. There in Texas, you have a small group that is obviously religiously unbalanced. Then on the other hand you have Iran, where their people prop up a form of Government that can condem a woman to death for trying to defend her honour. Huge difference my friend, or is it not simply because you don't want it to be?

Good post Mogz, too bad it falls on deaf ears.

More than half of americans are christians.

http://www.wheaton.edu/isae/defining_evangelicalism.html

For instance, several recent studies and surveys by sociologists and political scientists that utilize more complex definitional parameters have estimated the number of evangelicals in the U. S. at about 25-30% of the population, or roughly between 70 and 80 million people

Of course you live in New york, the most liberal city in the states, but that is a quite different story in texas.

By the way , bush didnt get all religious vote, about 55% of the vote, if i remember correctly.

You said 80 million Christians are fundamentalists, fundamentalism carries negative connotations, as in extremism.

I'm still debating whether or not to feel either sorry for you or just ignore you all together.

You can't do either yank I'm the reason you're here, I represent the forces of good and you the forces of evil, your master won't let you think.
