Wednesday's Child, you have true depth, depth,
depth-charge of heart.

It's a pleasure.

And yo, Darkbeaver, dance with me for real, and
better yet, let's get all wet and swim in the deep end
every once in a while. You are very much in the
grip of an ideology as shallow as those of the very
rightwing.

Amazingly, Darkbeaver, you are as predictable as
a garden variety rightwinger. You're kneejerk leftist
approach is not interesting. It's just as interesting
as a rightwingr proclaiming to make the Middle East
into glass.

I really believe the leftwingers got more of a chance
to understand, mainly because I drink with a lot of
leftwingers who like to show the sincerety of their
wish for good. That sentiment I applaud.

But I am appalled by the lack of understanding
of the average socialist, the average liberal, the
average democrat, the average leftwinger.

The world is quite a mystery to them, and it shouldn't be.

For example, the Kurds and Shia actually understand
where the rightwingers come from even if
they despise them, but little understand
the stupidity of the left when they honor the
Palestinian cause but find no similar vigor for the Kurds
or the Shia.

I'll bet you not one leftwinger ever thought of that.

You talk alot Jimmoyer but don,t say much, I will admit to being average and predictable, below average if it suits you.
What is the deep ideology that your in the grip of, you may wax poetic all you like. You are appalled by average understanding. If you have an above average understanding thats fine, but just what do you understand? My stand is transparent and simple, yours is obscure and complex.

WHOA!!! Why, boys, have I just stumbled upon my next two candidates? :D (Damn, Dark Beaver, how come you're always on the other end of these things? ) Hmm, if we do a thread with Jim as co-guest of honour, I'm thinking we're going to have to toss some existential questions into the mix. :D

Just remember, Haggis, my dear, this is the
International Grouch thread.

We're not going to have too much "thread drift" here.

Heh, heh, well, fortunately for World Peace and all the rest of it, I can just start a brand spanking new thread for you. :D Hmm, what to call it, what to call it . . . "Gettin' down existential with Jim and the Beav" That has a nice ring to it. I think I will sleep on this one. It has to be just so. Sharpen your pencils, lads (and what the hell, while you're at it, don kilts), the thread - and questions - will be in your neighbourhood tomorrow, bright and early. :D Don't be late. :x
