Quoting L Gilbert:

"China didn't have CCTV, razor wire, flood and spotlights, etc., though. But either way, I bet a wall would seriously reduce illegal immigration."

Neither did the former Soviet Union and its satellites. Yet, the border violation (i.e. people trying to escape the Socialist Paradise tht Obama is turning the United States into) was extremely low. Land mines, watchtowers with mean and trigger-happy soldiers did the trick.

Want to copy success? There is your example!

 So if the USSR didn't have CCTV, razor wire, spot and floodlights, why did you bring it up?
BTW, I think the USSR did have those things with the exception of CCTV. And I don't think the States would use landmines and items like that anyway. And I don't think the existing border guards are particularly trigger-happy either. Nothing like exaggeration, is there?

So what's your solution to the issue?

L Gilbert,

I brought up the very successful example of border security practiced by the former Soviet Union and its sattelites because it was, without a doubt SUCCESSFUL. With or without Close Circuit Television.

Where or when did I say that the existing border guards are trigger happy? Based on the sad experiences of their fellow border guards who were crucified and persecuted by the politically correct liberal "justice" system, lead by that jerk Johnny Sutton, why should they be so bold as to protect their country, when it is obvious that they'll only be kicked in the nuts for doing so?

Exaggeration? Really?

What is the difference between a Homeland Security Agent, a Customs Officer, an Immigration Officer and a Boarder Patrol Officer?
