I’m a die-hard liberal. It ruined my parenting.

I liked Khalil Gibran's poem about children. I now feel that I don't really want my children's thoughts to be an extension of my thoughts. I want them to have their own thoughts about things. Even though sometimes I may disagree. I guess I could be called a liberal among other things. Everyone likes labels. Maybe some day the short sightedness of that societal habit will fade away along with the idea that we own our children.
after being in here I've moved even further left...I damn near embrace the whole left side now...;-)

I guess the generic definition of liberals embracing change as opposed to the conservatives wanting things to remain what is thought as traditional would make me lean towards liberalism. But that alone would put me in a box that I don't care to be in. In a world that seems to be fvcked up most of the time though, I would like to see some change.
