Progressive Party of Canada

If I were compelled to vote for a fringe party (on a sidenote, I have no such inclination during this election, nor would I assume that I would have in the next), then I would most probably vote for the Progressive Party of Canada.

I would want to ensure that the progressive social climate of the past decade was not endangered, and that whoever I chose to represent my interests in the House of Commons had a practical, and conventional method in which to balance the Budget — one that would work for mainstream Canadians, if the need to adopt a "fringe party" would arise.

RE: If you had to vote fo

I barely know what the other partys stand for...except for the Progressive Canadians who are comprised of former PC members who DID NOT want to allign themselves with the Reform.

I think overall, i am generally a Red Tory in my beliefs..but in lieu of the Tory party, i have voted primarily Liberal (not always but mostly) since the 93 election.

I may be more inclined to vote for the current Conservative Party if i felt more secure in the fact that they still accept RED TORY policies but im sure they don't.

Ok, you might think this odd. But the two communist parties are very different. Why do I know this. I knew the leadership of the Communist party of Canada and I've talked to marxist leninists in the past. I've also studied the movements and I can say I disagree with both parties.

1. History
CPC is the third oldist party formed in 1919 and legal in 1921
Basically become our form of the CPUSSR in Canada and had very strong ties to the Eastern Bock soviet parties. Did not support the Sino CP nor the break in the Yugoslavia CP or Albianian. Older Communists in this party still have ill feelings twowards those three breaks. General CPC policy/platform is pretty socialist but not overly communist

CPC-ML Started in the 60's by an millionair Indian with strong Moaist links. Basically this was the Maoist party for Canada. Later in the 80's droped this and moved closer with Albiana. In the 90's sharply moved to a more Stalinist stance on issues and an extremist leftist prinicipals.

2. governance
CPC ML
formation. Bain's (spelling) the founder ran the party for his lifetime, once he died his wife took over.. Ummmm really this sounds like a communist system you have in north korea.

CPC, Migueal (sp) is the leader of the CPC, elected it's members the leadership has switched hands many times in the last 30 years unlike the ML, giving the appearance of a more democratic orginization

3.
Policy
Both parties are mostly left of the NDP. The Communist party appears to have Libertian like policies when it comes to minorities and governance and electoral reform. I would have to say the CPC would stay in the parliment and run like a western communist party like those in France, Germany Italy, whereas the CPC-ML would be much closer to that of North Korea and would not work within the laws of our system.

Either way If I was forced to chose between the two or any of the fringes the CPC would be a shitty choice but not a horrible choice as it has a long history in Canada and is generally harmless. Whereas I would rather blow my brains out then vote for the ML.

I could live with one MP from the communist party... If it were anymore I'd think there would be something wrong with our system or the people. lol.

I don't...

I think it's fine making fun of the system. But peoples votes shouldn't be a joke. Democracy should be very immportant to people.
Also in Canada we have many different parties. They cover everything from Communists to conservatives, Libertairians, to Christain Fanatics. If you can't find someone to believe in your lazy. So if you think all politicians are crocks, well stop voting for the same two or three parties over and over again. Find a new one stick with it and support them.

Democracy isn't a joke it's your duty!

The Rhino party has no place in Canadian politics. At least thats how I see it.

This might sound a little conservative, for this a pologize, but I do think, if your not a part of the solution you are a part of the problem. If you go out and say why vote all the parties are the same. First of all your being ignorant to the differances in party platform. Secondly only two parties have every governed Canada and there's a score of parties out there plus a score more which could use support to get registered.

The Rhino party played on peoples stupidity and ignorance of government, even hatred there of government. People don't relieze something about government. Do elect the police? Do we elect the CEO's of big corperations? do we elect the burocrats? do we elect the teachers, do we elect anyone but our government. All the poeple I've named have a large impact on our nation, but we don't elect them The one thing we can have a say in is our government and taking this right likely like any ignorant westerner these days is a dumping down of our society in general.

Listen just because like the Roman Mob which was bought by the emporors and lost there rights, lost there Tribune of the Plebs and lost everything, the mob loved the emporors, they loved them every moment there rights were taken away. WHY, because of the circus, because of the blood lust of entertainment, because of war, and other events. Yeah our modern day emporors, may pull the wool over our eye's by making most westerns rich, with there two SUV's, the white picket fences and there 2.5 children, we are delighted to make fun of the politicians, and entrust in those who'd shrink government responcibility and give the CEO's a free ride while globalization rapes other nations, and yes look at the little Rhino party making fun of our one democratic institution, the only institution we have a say in. Lets discredit this one thing we have any control over.

We are no better then the Plebs of the later Roman republic and the early Roman empire when we make light of elections, when we say why bother.

Grrrrr

End rant....

This is what happens to me with long ass elections!!! I hope we never have to go threw another election like this again!

I know this is a really long election, and I hope for a CPC majority so we can put another election to rest for the full 4 years.

I'm for a NDP-CPC minority with the hopes off massive electoral reform in the Commons and the Senate. I'm not sure how long it would last.

But if this election resulted in a full term government it would make me happy as long as the government governed moderately.

Marijuana is really a big issue.

Think of how it helps people sleep, for eg.

Professional athletes could really benefit from a toke when changing time zones and travelling al night, sleeping in hotels... Well rested athletes play more entertaining sports. We hear of tiredness affecting them, its true.

BUT DAMNIT THEY GET DOPE TESTED so they dont dare have that toke. It would show up in the search for steroids, cocaine, etc. i think thats really a shame, and the Marijuana Party might help out there.

Also, dope is good. No, not chemicals, they are bad, just cannabis. Stick that and so many of our future "drug- ruined " people would be saved a lot of hardship. The Marijuan party would help with that too.

Tax pot and eliminate almost all other personal taxes? Wow, sure, the Marijuana party would try do that too.

They would get cannabis as medicine worked out too. There is no doubt usefull applications for marijuana and health problems. We could save a lot of money if doctors could use marijuana everywhere it is usefull. They wont do it tho, unless legistlated to do it. Cannabis will outrule the PharmaGiants and their control over Doctors, and then we will all be better off. The MArijuana Party would help there, a lot!!!

So I have almost decided to toss out my NDp vote and go for the Marijuana, but they can't get a seat so I will use my vote for someone who can, the NDP.

After all, the NDP has never had power, lets finally give them a chance to show what they can do for us. Libs and CPC are both full of baggage, this is the time to show them we won't take it anymore.

I can't believe people would vote Communist. Socialism is one thing but communism isn't democratic.

Telling me or others who would vote for a fringe party how to vote is not democracy.

I wrote I would vote for the Marxist Leninist as a fringe choice. I already voted and it wasn't the Marxist-Leninist.
