Maybe, the transients that go West are transients because they have have trouble working in the East.

There are more jobs in the GTA than in Alberta. Saskatchewan and Manitoba combined and to think that they don't "do it as well as you do" is both bigoted and quite incorrect. Because unemployment is the percentage of the number of people seeking work who can't find work.

That means if you have more people seeking work than you have jobs, there will be unemployment, and the higher the number of people seeking work for whom there are no jobs is, the higher the unemployment will be.
