You were obviously too good for him

Still a virgin at 23? This guy had no sense of adventure at all. Most men at 23 would have burst from R.S.S.* by that age. :p

* Retained Sperm Syndrome

I know a guy that's 26, maybe even 27 by now, and he's still a virgin. Sad in'it?

No, not stupid, just human. Don't beat yourself up about it. One of my basic rules of life is never speak ill of yourself. There are lots of other people who'll do that for you, don't encourage them.

Hey, we all screw up, we all make mistakes, we all need forgiveness, from ourselves most of all. It doesn't matter Princess, anyone who really loves you will understand and some day you'll laugh about this with them. Probably next week, in fact. My mother had a guy like that in her past, whose name she couldn't remember (which tells you how important he was to her) so she called him Otis Glop. I have a woman like that in my past too, whose name I *do* remember but won't share on the Internet: physically very attractive, dumb as a cork, but I was 28 and very lonely and very ready and wanting to be a husband and father, and she had this beautiful little boy, a ready-made family... Gawd, what a terrible temptation that was. I managed to avoid that mistake, but I've made some others.

Thanks Dexter, very wise, you are! I definitely feel better now but I think I'm gonna have a wee little break from men for a while! All but two of the guys I've dated have been merely a source of attention for me but I have to learn how to be happy with who I am without constantly needing to be validated by men.

Do I sound sensible now, or what?!

Meh, cheer up, I've never had a real girlfriend yet (except for that girl that I was sure she liked me but she was actually in love somebody else) and I'm 18. I feel pretty much like reject right now. And I'm new in town, almost no friends and those friends don't really like hanging out with me. I really try to be nice with my friends and the more I try, the worst it is. It seems so hard to find someone that is nice and that wouldn't care for my stupidity. So cheer up, you're not worse than me.

o, i know how you feel. My Bf of a month just broke up with me, OVER AN EMAIL. and this is what he said, now how shallow is this, (well first before telling you how he said it i have a cold aka chest infection. and we were talking about breaking up 'cause we havent seen eachother in two weeks 'cause i was away on hollidays.) heres what he had said

" well i dont no if we should break up or not? what do you think?"
i reply
"well i dont want this to be just up to me im not in this relationship by myself."
he said
"well how long until your better?"
i said
" well im supposed to be better in a week."
he SAID:angryfire:
"then i dont want to see you anymore."

WHAT THE HECK HE CANT EVEN WAIT AROUND FOR ME FOR A FRIGGING WEEK????? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. but yah. like you i can relate cuz even though i didnt like him anymore it still hurts.

just dont let it get to you,

Um... you "never even liked him anyway?" He probably figured that out. Even the dumbest guys can usually spot that one. What were you thinking? What did you expect to happen? Why would you date a guy you don't like?

I know it can be rough getting dumped, but I find it hard to be sympathetic under the circumstances. It was going nowhere anyway and you knew it, you're just upset because he dumped you before you dumped him.

You took the words right out of my mouth. No sympathy here at all.

Um, don't know how to tell you this, Angie Baby and talloola, but you're responding to a post that's over a year old. I think she has probably forgotten the guy by now.

Yeah, that hillarious, by now she's probably been dumped by 10 more guys.
I just responded to the response, 'obviously' didn't check date, oh well, that's life.

It was nice reading all the advice and posts by the people here anyway....

Yes, especially since I would never had gotten a chance to read this thread if it hadn't been bumped up. I mean this sincerely.

New voices on old topics often give them life! I think it's a fine idea resurrecting something that sounds interesting from earlier on.
