Appears the Rev is testy.

Anyway, to respond to some of the Revs responses to my post:

1. GST and Nafta were policies that the Liberals said they would cancel, and did not. Thus they campaigned on two lies in 1993.

2. Read the CPC policies on cleaning up corruption.

3. To combat separatism, a conservative government will treat provinces equally and fairly, and not try to buy them off with dirty money taken from taxpayers.

4. Taxes increased in the first years of the Liberal dictatorship, then when taxes started to decrease, it was made up with massive increases to CPP paid for by workers and employers.

5. Trying to blame the cuts in military spending on the conservatives is bizarre. Trudeau and Turner started deficit financing way back in the 70's, with the support of the NDP.

6. The EI fund currently has a surplus of $46billion, is this to be another Liberal slush fund like the unaudited foundation accounts?

7. Chretien said that the US was to blame for 9-11 and in the 2000 election, called Alberta the Dark Side. Many of elected public officials in the Chretien government called the Americans derogatory names and insulted their people and government.

8. As far as the unfounded allegations of a hidden agenda, I cannot give you any examples, simply because there is no hidden agenda. You got them, you put them out for everyone to see.

9. Regarding Health Care, if you read the post, I said the CPC has been accused of wanting to totally privatize health care, which is simply not true.

10. No matter what Randy White said, he is only one member of the party, not the party itself. There is no position taken by the CPC, real or imagined, that even remotely suggests outlawing homosexuality. To suggest otherwise is dishonest and an outright lie.

11. Allegations of judiciary tampering by the Liberals will be proven as have the original allegations in the Gomery inquiry. Remember, these allegations are being made by liberal party members, not others. And the original allegations in Gomery have now been double and even triple confirmed. As you are fond of saying, if it walks, quacks, and looks like a duck, chances are it is a duck.

12. REgarding Gomery, there is no need to wait for his report, because it is simply a summary of what we have already heard. Indeed, Section K of the commission paramaters do not allow him to attach blame to anyone.

13. Even you should know there is alienation in Saskatchewan and BC, which, the last time I looked, were in the West. Maybe not from your extreme left position, though.

14. Postponing opposition days in the House is a direct attack on democracy. They were only postponed, as you call it, because Martin will to anything to hang onto power.

15. The Liberals themselves launced a lawsuit against some testifiers at the Gomery commission saying they were the victims of misuse of funds. You look it up, I haven't got the time to look up something to confirm something for you.

Rev, you asked me once why I supposedly hated Canada so much. I am going to ask you now why you love the Liberals so much in spite of what they have been proven to have done? How much mismanagement will it take, how many more broken promises and outright lies will it take, how much more arrogance will it take before you finally say enough? You have said that Mulroney was corrupt, and got tossed out for that. Although I don't agree, why are you not prepared to throw the Liberals up for what has been proven to be systematic corruption and mismanagement over the last 12 years?

I'd hate to have lock this thread, Jay and Swirl. If you want to discuss me instead of the CPC, then I suggest you do it elsewhere.

I didn't think I needed to start a new thread to warn him.

First rule of this forum: Never offend The Rev. But just in case some of us missed it; warn him of what?

Well considering the posts were edited so you would miss it, I don't think it would be wise to repeat it.

I understand, but I have to make this as simple as possible for those on the left who need simple answers and solutions.

Oh get over yourself. There has to be a bit of give and take on these threads, or else you may as well call this the "Left Wing Canadian Content".

There have been many responses to my posts which are waaaaay beyond what I just said, and some use vulgar language.

RE: How will a Conservati

Perhaps you'd all like to start a new thread where the posts at least refer to the topic every once in a while?

It's been nine posts since there was any reference to how a Conservative government might be better. I don't know if you guys realize this or not, but I'm not running for office.
