While this was going on I began to look up dictionaries, first modern dictionaries and later Latin ones. Eventually I decided to learn Greek alphabet (which took me about a month) and look up a Greek dictionary. I found the word egregor at the Intermediate Greek - English Lexicon, founded upon the seventh edition of Liddell and Scott's Greek-English Lexicon, with reference to egeiro = to be awake, to watch.

As I turned to egeiro (Root EGER) (I am transliterating into English) I found the following definitions:

A:
(1) to awaken, to wake up, to rouse.
(2) to rouse, to stir up (example: stir up the fight)
(3) to raise from the dead (N.T.)
(4) to raise or to erect (example: a building)
B:
(1) to keep watch or vigil (Il)
(2) to be awake (Hom.)
(3) to rouse or stir oneself, be excited by passion (Hes., Thuc.)

Vereya skazala : You know, I can't quite agree with you on this point. Our past is not dead------------------------------

Hi Vereya,Yes,you can keep your past "alive" in your memory ,imagination .We do that 'cause we are afraid to face the Present ,the Unknown ,the What Is .So we keep the past "alive", we form "traditions "(communal agreements), we study history,we look into the future ( which is past.) We love the past 'cause the past is the "Known" and there is "safety " in the past . But everything changes from moment to moment and that is a reality . The choice. We can live in the present or stagnate in the past. There is no other way.
I
Cont...
Vereya:
What is our past? It is the choices, that we have made some time ago, it is the situations that we have encountered in our lives, it is the thoughts and principles that we had at a certain period, it is the steps we have taken. All this doesn't just fade away----------------------------------------------
China
Well, that is a process of learning...from moment to moment ,we learn ,we make decisions ,we make choices, and we progress making new choices .The decisions/ choices I made as a teenager wil differ from the ones I make now .As I learn from day today ,I let the old 'fade away" .Why keep it in your brain .....to stagnate and collect dust.?
PS....We dont realy have to do anything about "leting the old fade away ".The brain has its own "cleaning mechanism " (to get rid of all the garbage) and does it for us......if you will "allow "it.

Vereya

Likewise, what you do, or think, or say right now will determine where you will be and what you will be in another two years' time---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are talking about the process of "becoming". You are who you are!
A fool who goes and gets an education , wiil still be a fool ,an educated fool.

Vereya.
So, the past, the present, and the future are not separate from each other. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
China: There is only Present. The past and future are the same . The only way that you can describe fututre is by using past ,no other way therfore future is past.
The Present Is ,the future & past are not
Known can only know the known .
Vereya
China, do you believe in controlling your feelings, including the feeling of happiness? Do you think that a controlled emotion is just as genuine and
just as strong as an uncontrolled one, only it is controlled by you-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No I don't belive...,I dont" belive "in anything . Why should I,The word BELIVE implies no need to further learning. Why should one control anything ?....the only time one resorts to control of something is if one is afraid or doesn't understand it.
I understand my feelings ,I know where they come from ,I know that they are past and have nothing to do with reality (Present) there is nothing new in them ,they are a part of an image of oneself that one constantly builds and constantly re-builds.What is ,Is ,doesnt change..Parents who control their children .they obviously dont undrestand them.Teachers who control students ,they dont understand their students.THE child needs love and understanding ,not control.Teacher should have respect and patience with his students , not control them . One should see that feelings/ emotions are not seperate of oneself they , are "oneself" ,so controling them is controling oneself ,therefore not knowing oneself.

Vereya:Well, this is going to be difficult to explain. Are you familiar with the notion of "egregor"? --------------------
China
No I,m not and I don't care to be.That,s one of the reasons that I have left High Scool in Grade 10 in order that I can learn something ( the smartest thing I've ever done)I dont need someone elses second hand opinons in my head.No one needs it.I have amassed a small fortune without the help of the small letters behined my name on a business card.No I dont need second hand opinions.

Thanks ,Stay in touch ,China

China this was the definition. A quick read even for a tenth grader.

How's this for original my Dear? Happiness lies within the perception of the highest being. Yourself. If you see yourself as a hard ass then that's what you will be and you shall be the happiest being in the universe.
