Stepping in it is called life. I have been in up to my knees in it for some time now, it sustains me quite nicely. I'm not quite sure what validity the equations have now that they exist independent of Einstien. If they are derivatives how can they not be suspect? Thankyou for the links, I will try and understand. It is very kind of you to entertain my ignorance. What hydrogen gas? Over here it's called plasma. Different stuff altogether they tell me.

The interstellar medium is known to be primarily made up of hydrogen gas. You said it yourself already:

The simplest answer, from the highly successful field of plasma cosmology, is that it represents the natural microwave radiation from electric current filaments in interstellar plasma local to the Sun. Radio astronomers have mapped the interstellar hydrogen filaments by using longer wavelength receivers. http://www.holoscience.com/news.php?article=d4fsrk24

Regardless of what state it may be in, hydrogen is referred to as hydrogen.

Nature and Nature's laws lay hid in night,
God said, "Let Newton be!" and all was light.
It did not last; the Devil, howling "Ho!
Let Einstein be!" restored the status quo.

Summary

Despite theoretical and experimental efforts to model neuronal networks, the origin of cerebral cognitive functions and memory formation are still unknown. Recently, we have proposed that in addition to chemical and electrical signals, the cellular components of the neocortex (especially neurons and astrocytes) may communicate with each other through magnetic signals generated by themselves. This magnetic communication would be the ground of short-term memory. In the present paper, we propose that brain magnetite may be a component of the mechanisms, conserved during evolution, to detect and transduce magnetic fields generated inside the cerebral neocortex. Specifically, we propose a possible role for magnetite nanoparticles, distributed through neuronal and astroglial membranes, in perception, transduction and storage of information that arrives to the neocortex.

Science Daily: Center of Milky Way's Magnetic Attraction Ten Times Stronger Than Rest of Galaxy.

ScienceDaily (Jan. 7, 2010) — An international research project involving the University of Adelaide has revealed that the magnetic field in the centre of the Milky Way is at least 10 times stronger than the rest of the Galaxy.

The evidence is significant because it gives astronomers a lower limit on the magnetic field, an important factor in calculating a whole range of astronomical data.

Researchers from the Max-Planck-Institute for Nuclear Physics, the University of Adelaide, Monash University and the United States have recently published their findings in Nature.

Dr Roland Crocker, the lead author, and Dr David Jones both worked on the project while based at Monash University and the University of Adelaide's School of Chemistry and Physics. The two physicists are now based at the Max-Planck-Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, Germany.

"This research will challenge current thinking among astronomers," Dr Crocker says. "For the last 30 years there has been considerable uncertainty of the exact value of the magnetic field in the centre of the Milky Way. The strength of this field enters into most calculations in astronomy, since almost all of space is magnetised," he says.

Dr Jones says the findings will affect diverse fields, from star formation theory to cosmology.

"If our Galactic Centre's magnetic field is stronger than we thought, this raises additional questions of how it got so strong when fields in the early universe are, in contrast, quite weak. We know now that more than 10% of the Galaxy's magnetic energy is concentrated in less than 0.1% of its volume, right at its centre," he says.

Dr Jones completed his PhD at Adelaide, studying the Galactic Centre magnetic field under the supervision of Dr Raymond Protheroe, Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Adelaide, and Dr Crocker, a former postdoctoral researcher at the University.

"The Milky Way just glows in radio waves and in gamma-rays produced by collisions of energetic particles, and is brightest near its centre. Knowing the magnetic field there helps us understand the source of the radio and gamma-rays better," says Dr Protheroe.

The Australian Research Council provided funding for the project.

DB You can't possibly consider magnetic fields without using the word electricity, but they did. It, the galactic middle, spews out stars in jets, it's a plasma gun not a galactic hoover. This will go on for another hundred years, trillions more of ameros will be spent in the coming decades discovering thousands of fundymental parsnips and giant black vaccumn cleaners in 7% of space they think they're looking at. And the two other universes that Hawkings says we are attached to,what about them? The one called thebegining and the other called theend, each of them will have to be discovered studied and hypothosized at the cost of trillions upon trillions of more ameros and they still won't be using the word electric. Just the lawyers and the mathematicians alone will eat 3/4s of the budget. I won't pay taxes for that.:smile:

Sure you can. Astrophysical electric fields are ruled out because of the lack of charge seperation.

Moreover, due to the effects of plasma on the electromagnetic field, you can basically ignore the electric field in many astrophysical (and industrial) applications.

You're not kidding are you? There is no lack of charge separation and there is no magnetic field without the electrical component.

Electric Sun Verified
However, a more fundamental conceptual error is to invoke stellar and galactic “winds” and the notion of tails being “swept downstream.” Astrospheres and comets are plasma discharge phenomena! Electrodynamic forces govern them. Discussions about the “external magnetic forces of the galactic wind” dominating the shape of the heliosphere highlights a curious blindspot in astrophysics. In 1970 the late Hannes Alfvén counseled against the notion that magnetic fields can exist in space while ignoring their origin in cosmic electric currents and their circuits. Alfvén predicted an imminent “crisis in cosmology.” I’m sure he never imagined that scientific revolutions could take a century or more in this era of global communication. But specialism and specialist jargon is the enemy of communication and the wide-ranging investigation needed to compose the “big picture” we call cosmology. And no scientist likes to admit their specialty is in crisis.

Alfvén’s axial “double layers” (DLs) have been included although their distance from the Sun is unknown. DLs are produced in current carrying plasma and are the one region where charge separation takes place in plasma and a high voltage is generated across them (see discussion below).

In 1984 Alfvén predicted from his circuit model of the Sun there are two double layers, one connected to each pole at some unknown distance from the Sun or heliosphere. He wrote, “As neither double layer nor circuit can be derived from magnetofluid models of a plasma, such models are useless for treating energy transfer by means of double layers. They must be replaced by particle models and circuit theory... Application to the heliospheric current systems leads to the prediction of two double layers on the sun's axis which may give radiations detectable from Earth. Double layers in space should be classified as a new type of celestial object.” — H. Alfvén, Double Layers and Circuits in Astrophysics, IEEE Transactions On Plasma Science, Vol. PS-14, No. 6, December 1986.

The most important plasma circuit element—the 'Double Layer.'

The Astrophysical Crisis at Red Square
Alfvén writes, "Since the time of Langmuir, we know that a double layer is a plasma formation by which a plasma—in the physical meaning of this word—protects itself from the environment. It is analogous to a cell wall by which a plasma—in the biological meaning of this word—protects itself from the environment." This concept of a star "protecting itself" from the environment throws an entirely different light upon the real nature of stars. They are powered from without, electrically, not from within! This is impossible in the language of MHD, the lingua franca of astrophysicists. Neither double layers nor circuits can be derived from MHD models. Yet Alfvén was moved to suggest, "...double layers in space should be classified as a new type of celestial object." He proposed, "...X-ray and gamma-ray bursts may be due to exploding double layers."

No, I am not kidding. I am telling you the truth. An electric current produces a magnetic field: Ampere's law. An electric charge produces an electric field: Coulomb's law.

Charge seperation does not exist at a large enough level in the universe to create astrophysical electric fields. Astrophysical magnetic fields, are another question. But that is a topic for another thread.

The Gorgon's Head
According to a recent press release from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), a looping coronal prominence has been detected as it arcs outward from the poles of the less massive beta star toward the larger member of the pair. There is nothing particularly unusual about coronal loops, as indicated by the picture of our parent star at the top of the page, but this is the first time that a prominence has been observed anywhere other than the Sun.

There are repeated mentions of the "magnetic field", "magnetic loops", and "magnetic features" in the NRAO announcement. Noticeably absent is any reference to the electric currents that must be generating those magnetic phenomena. Magnetism cannot exist without electricity.

Electric Comets Re-write Space Science
In the Electric Universe model, a comet is an electrically charged body. During its long period in the outer reaches of the solar system, it acquires a strong negative charge with respect to the Sun. Then, as it approaches the inner limits of its orbit, accelerating through the electric field of the Sun, it will begin to discharge to the plasma surrounding it, producing the familiar bright coma and tail.

The electric comet is thus tied to the electric view of the Sun:
  1. The Sun has an electric field and interacts electrically with comets and planets, including the Earth;
  2. The Earth, like all of the planets, is a charged body;
  3. The Sun is not powered by some mysterious, internal "nuclear furnace", but rather externally by electric currents flowing along the arms of the Milky Way;
  4. 99.9% of the universe consists of PLASMA, a conducting medium that has been found to exhibit strong electrical properties. All of space is teeming with charged particles;
  5. All evidence for the electric comet is therefore evidence for the electric Sun and for the electrical nature of stars.
A few of the more persistent comet "mysteries" are listed below:

1. The sun has a permanent magnetic field but no permanent electric field, like the Earth.
2. The Earth has no net electrical charge: it is neutral.
3. If this were true, the magnetic field from current would be easily measurable, following Biot Savart's law.
4. False. About 95% of the universe is made up of dark matter and dark energy and does not interact with the electromagnetic field.
5. Comets follow a 1/r^2 law of gravitation, not the 1/r^3 law that would occur from a current force. Again, see Biot Savart's law.

1. Neutron stars are not made of 100% neutrons. They are supported by neutron degeneracy pressure.
2. See the bullet cluster. Where the baryonic and dark components can be measured quite accurately.
3. Any phenomenon which explains the fact that all galaxies are red shifted is dark energy.
4. The alternative, something with an infinite heat capacity is far weirder than a black hole.
5. Only impossible when magnetic field lines are completely frozen.
6. An infinite conductivity approximation, which holds to remarkable accuracy in plasmas.
7. Has nothing to do with physics.
8. Measured long ago and explained with physics.
9. The time of recombination has been observed: at one point the universe was filled with a hot, dense plasma which eventually condensed upon expansion into galaxies and stars.
10. Measured by Hubble, weak lensing, supernovae 1a, baryonic acoustic oscillations, cmb, strong lensing, and other sources.
11. Follows from the equivalence principle.
12. Follows from causality.

Not as far as we know. And to add to Niflmir's post:

"7. Biological Evolution (not observed empirically)" and
"8. Plate Tectonics (no physical mechanism)"

Those claims are simply false. Biological evolution has been observed directly, and there is a perfectly plausible mechanism for plate tectonics. As usual Beave, when it comes to science you're simply wrong and have no idea what you're talking about.

The Fallacy of Magnetic Reconnection

Real Properties of Electromagnetic Fields and
Plasma in the Cosmos
Abstract—A majority of baryons in the cosmos are in the plasma state. However, fundamental disagreements about the properties and behavior of electromagnetic fields in these plasmas exist between the science of modern astronomy/astrophysics and the experimentally verified laws of electrical engineering and plasma physics. Many helioastronomers claim that magnetic fields can be open ended. Astrophysicists have claimed that galactic mag- netic fields begin and end on molecular clouds. Most electrical engineers, physicists, and pioneers in the electromagnetic field theory disagree, i.e., magnetic fields have no beginning or end. Many astrophysicists still claim that magnetic fields are “frozen into” electric plasma. The “magnetic merging” (reconnection) mechanism is also falsified by both theoretical and experimental investigations. (Donald E. Scott, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON PLASMA SCIENCE, VOL. 35, NO. 4, AUGUST 2007, PDF here).
There is a prevailing belief that magnetic fields can be “frozen” in plasma, and that magnetic field lines can “reconnect”; this is arrant physical nonsense and the paper showing this is linked at the end of the abstract above.
What Scott does show is the pseudoscientific nature of much of science in which imaginative novelties are invoked to explain the prevailing scientific model.
