I's a Bluenoser, Baby!
Just reading the beginning of your post proves my point about Americans. CENTRE is a word and so is COLOUR.... They were words before you americans started using your own lazy spelling.

I'm not going any further.

I am pretty sure the man was joking. You know... making a funny, delivering a pun, friendly ribbing
*picks up a twig-like object behind you* Dude I think you dropped your funny bone

*hugs* Having a rough day, eh.

cheers

*ROTFL* Okay, where to start...

"I guess I have mixed feelings, personally... Not to point fingers to anyone in general... but I find the majority of Americans, whether they be right or left..."

Hrmm...

"...or centre..."

It's center! Cent-re is not a word. Neither is colour.

"...seem to be quite arrogant to Canadians..."

Have you ever met a Canadian in the US? They are the first to tell us how we are ruining our country. ;)

"...so to answer the question of Americans moving north to Canada, I have to say that yes, I'm against arrogant Americans moving here."

Okay? Are there alot of humble Americans? How about we only let the happy Americans in? Or the sad ones? Emotional states and personality traits really are how we should meassure immigration desirablity.

"...But I have nothing against honest, hard-working Americans who can appreciate our way of live (however different or similar it may be)."

Umm...You sound like a right wing arrogant American speaking about the Mexicans coming north. Heh. I'll tell you what I tell them, if you let someone into your country freely then you have no right to tell them what they should and shouldn't do...okay, so maybe you can tell them. But I'll tell them to ignore you and live thier life.

I too have thought about moving North of the boarder (My Grandmother was born in Canada and due to an immigration loophole I can run north at any time). But two thoughts stop me.
1) Canada has as many ignorant people as the US. Be them left or right it's the ignorant folks that hurt a nation.
2) If I leave the US I can't vote, and I can't participate freely in the politics of this nation. If I can't do that then I can't change this nation. Then I would be stuck on a canadian forums bitching about the US, instead of here bitching and TRYING to do something about it.

Didn't mean any offense to anyone. People are people, no one nation is more enlightened than another it's just different points of view. It's only when some ignorant man thinks his view is better than anothers that those views become bad. Know when your words and deeds match...lest you be called a hypocrite.

Once again, another idiot bastardising the English Language. I'll have you know CENTRE or COLOUR are indeed words, maybe I'm abnormal but I dislike people who are not English in England like me dictating what is a word and isn't a word in my own country's language.

I don't really care if they say it's English, what it IS...is an American version of a language written in most of the british isle's and commonwealth.

Was Victoria, now Ottawa
I have no problem with liberal yanks fleeing north. That will make room in the States for all those conservative Mexicans fleeing Mexico.
How come Greenlanders don’t immigrate to Canada?

I take people pretty much as they are, I don't care where they come from, as long as they try to fit into Canadian society. I welcome anyone especially those on the political left. I too, have trouble understanding Evangelicals, right wing conservatives and the like. I do however have friends who are both. If you want to come here come on up, I know some folks who just moved here from California for the same reason. What is this the exodus from Jesus land?

If Liberals want to come to Canada that's great because Conservatives in the United States will grow in numbers. Then when I return to the United States it will be a one Red State Nation, Bush's plan is working..

Yes and you have my sympathy.

Please come to Canada, there are only four or five people I can talk to here now so even a change of face would be welcome!

And please ignore the "Please hang-up your comon sense here before entering Canada" sign on your side of the border...

My Favourite, Americanizm is Z (zed)

Its pretty funny...they all say Zee...which is the sound Z(zed) makes well its more like a Zzz...so they even got that wrong.

Its like they Think the only word that uses a Z, is Zebra...and thats how they say Z(zed)

Anyway its all ****ed up...

As for Yanks Coming here, I dont mind, as long as they act like Canadains, which would be, Passive and Friendly, and not out to Dominate, The Workplace, Economey, Community or World...even neighbourhood whatch.

Americans Butcherd English, by spelling things wrong, but sticking with it...

Yes I spelt a few words wrong in this post, but atleast I regonize the fact, and dont attempt to have websters Dictonary actully make it a word, like our neighbours to the south.
