end of 2002 I was getting ready to move from Australia to Canada...and needed to fins ome info recellphones, and hard-drives and also what the "locals" felt about what was going on in the world....great place.
I'm often asked what the hell I'm doing here from Australia...tis normally people traveling the other way LOL

I found it while searching for what used to be called the Sympatico forums and was redirected here. I once had many lively and interesting exchanges there in an Astrology forum under a subheading called "For Skeptics," with a moderator who called herself Rosie on the board, and identified herself as being on Canada's west coast. I had a lot of fun there, then I was out of the country and way too busy for a year or so and lost touch with it all, and when I came back it had all disappeared. I kept finding notes indicating the forums had been shut down for redevelopment and restructuring and would restart in the fall of 2004, and in the meantime I should go to Canadiancontent.net.
So I did, eventually. But in four months hanging around here, I've seen no evidence of any connection between this place and the Sympatico forums, nor have the Sympatico forums reappeared. The people are different, the subjects are different, the only similarity I can see is that ol' Doubting Thomas here, Dexter Sinister, has been active in both places, under different names. I called myself Robert Wardell there, which isn't my real name either, not even close, it's just a name I once wished I had, for reasons I needn't bore you with. Anyone know what happened?

I was under the impression that Sympatico shut down for the same reason as CBC did, Dexter. Flame wars instigated some personal threats and they found they couldn't properly moderate them.
