the fourth line on a willie desjardin team isn't a demotion. he likes to balance his lines so that he
can always play all four, and all four will contribute, and that has been the case.

no team should think they have it a bit easy because they are on the ice Against canuck's fourth line,
that would be a mistake.

burrows was also on the power play, and played an important role in front of the net, And his presents was
very noticeable all night.

O.K. Talloola, I wouldn't argue with your hockey wisdom.:)

So was his presence...

hmmm, i looked up the two words, the first definition seemed to include presents into
both meanings, didn't bother looking further, i guess it was the other, like presentation.

yeah, it didn't look right to me either, and i notice after many years of not using certain
words much, i forget, thanks for the correction.

yeah, i looked it up again, the other one was 'it wouldn't present much difficulty',
which i misunderstood, i was thinking of him presenting himself on the ice. lol

the first time i typed it, i used your spelling, then couldn't figure out if that
was right, so looked it up, then changed it.

my english lesson for the day.

well, if you had followed along with desjardin interviews about the lines, over the past weeks, he has
explained that analogy, he doesn't want any player on any line to think of it as, either a promotion or a
demotion, he wants all players to treat whatever line they are on as 'the first line' and play
accordingly.

close game: great breakaway with Dman McDonagh as trailer - gets the shot in and it suffices for the win

six wins in a row for the Broadway Blues, most in three years, I believe

actually, the standings show Edmonton at the bottom:

2014-2015 Conference Standings Standings - NHL.com - Standings

but it's still early in the season and there's plenty of time for a big surge upwards - then those awfully long playoffs ....

once the new year comes about, then the trade deadline begins to be talked about, and teams begin to try
to position themselves to make a run for a good playoff spot.

i enjoy the regular season a lot, for me its not 'all about playoffs', for me they are a new schedule,
and whatever teams are in, have a chance to go all the way, need some luck, play the right teams, have
no injuries, and the chance is there.

so many people say, its 'all about playoffs'. nothing else matters, but not for me.

I believe the trade deadline is the first or second week in March so that's a way off. That is unless it's been changed. But 16 teams will qualify for those playoff games and that's a bit too much. I've always preferred the one and done deal but that's a pipe dream for me.

Yep for points for the season, but in recent play Calgary is worse, they've lost 8 straight, Edm only 7.

watched edmonton play dallas today, at one point in the game oilers were up 5-2, and they were all over
dallas, but dallas looked awful, finally they woke up, outplayed oilers in 3rd period, and won it in
a shoot out.

and count the number of losses for edmonton before they won that one game against
san jose.

yes edmonton is on the bottom of the league, doesn't matter how many games in a row calgary has lost,
they will have to lose many many more to drop down to edmonton level.

but oilers are playing better, they will win one soon.

wouldn't it be something if they ended up with connor mcDavid, it is definitely possible, and they certainly
should take him if they can, even if they need defensemen, they could never pass him up in the draft.

Hansen returning to lineup vs. Coyotes
Arizona Coyotes vs. Vancouver CanucksCOYOTES (11-17-4) at CANUCKS (19-11-2)

TV: FS-A, SNP

VANCOUVER -- Jannik Hansen doesn't remember passing out on the Vancouver Canucks bench Saturday, but he never thought he was unconscious long enough to believe something seriously was wrong.

Despite spending Saturday night in a hospital, Hansen confirmed he will play against the Arizona Coyotes on Monday after tests confirmed his scary collapse had nothing to with heart problems.

"I kind of lost my wind," Hansen said. "It happens from time to time. But I wasn't able to catch it quick enough and I took a quick nap on the bench. It's scary in the moment but I had an idea it wasn't anything with the heart. It was basically I couldn't breathe so I wasn't too worried. But you go through all the precautions to get checked and double-checked and triple-checked and get the OK sign."

Hansen was hit by Calgary Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman 1:27 into the second period Saturday and skated on his own to the bench, where he remained hunched over before slumping forward unconscious. Play was stopped while Canucks doctors rushed to Hansen, who was pulled up by teammates before waking up and walking to the locker room with help from the medical staff.

"I remember sitting on the bench kind of trying to catch my breath and then I remember them pulling me up," he said. "A couple of seconds, no more. [The doctors said] something about when you pass out the spasm relaxes and you can breathe again. It takes a couple seconds, that was it, and full air would happen right after too."

Hansen was at the hospital when the Canucks won the game 3-2 on an overtime goal by defenseman Christopher Tanev. It was Tanev's second goal in 32 games

"I had to ask twice when the nurses said it was [Tanev],” Hansen said.

Hansen wasn't released from the hospital until 1 p.m. on Sunday but was back on the ice for an optional morning skate Monday. He said he does not think he will be limited in any way against the Coyotes.

"It's just a matter of making sure nothing with the heart and once the heart is cleared you're clear," Hansen said. "They did thorough checks and made sure everything is OK. They are not going to let a guy back on the ice unless you are cleared and ready for it."

Despite jokes about teammates not wanting to give him mouth to mouth on the bench, Hansen knows how scary his collapse looked and was glad his wife was not watching the game on television.

"She said, 'Why are you calling me? You are supposed to be playing,'" Hansen said. "I told her, 'Don't watch it, just turn the TV off,' and I'll explain when I get home. Later she came to the hospital and I filled her in. It looks obviously not very good on TV and it's not very nice happening either. But it's easier to tell her once everything is OK."

Hansen and his family were glad to see how quickly the medical staff responded to his situation, especially in the wake of Dallas Stars forward Rich Peverley collapsing on the bench because of a cardiac event during the first period of a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on March 10 last season.

"We all know the situation that could have happened," he said. "It happened last year, so it's nice to know they are aware and so quick to respond. It gives us a lot of comfort and I know my wife is extremely happy to see how quick the response is."

Ooooooh, ooooooh, mea culpa, I spake too soon. Maybe they have enough strength of character to over come adversity in the final minutes of a game. Cgy. 4 L.A. 3 in O.T.! :) :)
