It just doesn't get much better than that.............well, maybe game 7 in Beantown! What about Don Cherry's suit? Wouldn't be caught shot to death in a sh*thouse wearing that piece of apparel!

Who cares what Cherry wears - I'm still shakin' over the win by Montreal. Outstanding play by the team. Talk about sacrificing the body! Those blocked shots were fantastic and the save by Desharnais - Wow! Shut out for Carey. I wouldn't miss game 7 for the world after this one. Rock on Habs!

yep, this was montreal's gAme all the way, just like the last one was boston's, so

now there will be a game 7, thats what i was hoping, we have two to look forward to now,

with rangers going to pittsburg next game.

getting back to cherry's suit, don't have a clue what he was wearing, i quickly
change the channel and make sure i don't switch back till he is gone.

well, anaheim did it again, although it got exciting right near the end, as they went Ahead

of l.a. 4-1 for quite awhile, then all of a sudden it was 4-3, and l.a. put on a big push,

but couldn't quite do it, so it ended anaheim 4 l.a. 3.

series is now 3 games to 2 for anaheim

congrats. to alain vineault and his rangers, i'm so happy for him, this is not a vanilla team, the
flavour tonight was rainbow with sprinkles, good work boys, made it to conference finals.

very brave of marty st. louis to get through these last 3 games with such a heavy heart, showed
such guts and glory, played it out to support his team, my heart goes out to him And his family.

they wait now for winner of montreal/boston, then it all starts over again.

pittsburg didn't look impressive at all in the playoffs, round one and two.

rangers 2 penguins 1

Rangers defense looked tired and failed to force Pitt attackers out of the crease. But goalie Lundqvist was just awesome and saved the days for the Broadway Blues.

Kudos to all the players for their hard work.

And soon the going will get even tougher ....

I think psychological ramifications of the Montreal/Boston game last night will have a huge impact as far as the outcome tomorrow, at least that's what I'm predicting. Monteal just got confirmation they CAN do it.

another great game between chicago and minnesota, hawks finally won it with 10 minutes left in first
overtime, 2-1

both goalies were amazing, especially crawford, as minnesota after the first period were the better
team, although chicago are always dangerous, and in the overtime both teams had their chances.

patrick kane scored the winner, after the puck bounced off the glass and players got a bit mixed
up as the puck was bouncing around, but he grabbed it and quickly roofed it into the net to end
the game, and the series.

i'm sorry to see minnesota leave the playoffs, as they are a great young team, and they will be
back, they are fast, with lots of good high end players, too bad somebody has to lose.

so chicago will wait now till l.a. and anaheim are done.

either team does not intimidate the other, boston are at home, game 7, i give them the advantage, but
when the dust settles, its all about the goalkeeping, whichever one blinks first will lose.

Great game tonight! A nail biter for sure, but the Habs are just so cool and I suppose after that first goal early there really wasn't much doubt, with Price in the net!

price is their trump card, and along with the speed of the team, they are a tough out. notice weise scored

the first goal, so in these playoffs for montreal, canucks are a contributor, he has played so well for

the habs, good for him, i'm glad, looks like gillis and torterella, (who said that weise didn't really

understand what is going on),( yes, he really said that), did him a favour by shipping him to montreal,

he has been noticed for his intelligence and good play.

seems they play the rangers saturday morning, pacific time, first game of the conference final.

anaheim and l.a. are in their first period of the possible ellimination of l.a. tonight, they have

to win this one, or they are toast.

1-0 l.a. first period.

Can't say as I am totally unhappy that Alain's team got the win, talloola. I like him too and, I am a huge fan of Mighty Mouse. I was surprised when my Pens made it through the first round as they weren't playing all that great then so my expectations against NY were not that high. I seem to back teams that have good or great regular seasons but don't measure up in the finals. At least my Riders won the Cup last year so I still have one team that came through. LOL! Am cheering all the way for the Habs now. Love Carey and PK........actually I like just about every single player on the Montreal team as they all support each other so well out there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
my first thoughts too are that montreal won't have any trouble beating rangers,
but i need to see a game first just to see how they match up, and if rangers
bring the same level of energy as the habs, goalies are both fabulous, no
doubt there, but montreal are probably faster, with better defense, but with
good energy rangers will make a good series out of it.

Helluva a game, JLM. Simply outstanding. The Habs worked so hard out there tonight - great hockey, just great hockey. Blew both my Ole horn and Boat horn after the win so all the neighbors would know that Montreal took the game and the series. Bravo. I bet they beat the Rangers too. The only thing that really stands in their way is the mighty Lundquist but hey can beat him the way they are playing. Montreal and Anaheim will be rockin' tonight. So happy for all the Habs fans.

You'll get no argument from me, Mowich, but I think I'll just relax now and take it one game at a time. Right now I'd give the Habs about 3/1 odds. We'll see!-:)

Yep, but not so much when you are competing with 3 or 4 other people for use of the T.V. -:) Mustn't dare interupt N.C.I.S.-:)

you just have to get a second tv jlm. i like ncis too, and i get to see it as well, those shows are on
more than once or twice in a day, a person can pick their times that don't conflict with something else, oh oh,
now i'm in trouble at your house, don't tell on me.

this is interesting as it progresses along. weiss was traded to montreal for raphael diaz who i thought
was a decent defenceman in vancouver, but wait, quickly he was traded to the rangers, for a fifth round
draft pick, hmmmm, sound familiar?

now he is a decent defenceman on the rangers roster. now when habs and rangers play next series, we can
see 'two' canuck connections, thanks gillis, yet for another stupid move.,

i mentioned some time ago how much i dislike milan lucic, now, after his antics last night, i double
that statement. i am embarrassed that he comes from b.c., and i hope he stays in boston and rots,
as he is a arrogant, immature, dumb jock.

when shaking hands last night after the game, when he shook weiss's hand, he would not let go, held him
back, then threatened that he would f***** kill him next year, and also he apparantly said something to
emmelin as well.

i have always admired the handshake in hockey, it is a great display of sportsmanship, hope he is fined,
by the nhl. when the game is over it is over, and all of the 'crap' that went on during games is left
on the ice, and the two warriers shake hands and accept the outcome.

lucic pounds his chest like a mountain gorilla when he scores a goal, and when weiss scored a goal, he
mimicked lucic, whoopdedee.

they showed seabrook and backus last night when they shook hands after their series. seabrook had knocked
backus into the boards hard, seabrook was suspended three games, and backus missed two games, but they
looked each other in the eye, spoke in a good way, patted each other on the back and shook hands, that
is the way it is done.

So the 'little ball of hate' lives up to his moniker once again. The team, the management, the owners and the fans of the Boston Bruins do not deserve nor do they condone this type of ungentlemanly behavior. You bring nothing but dishonor to yourself and your family and while the town of Anaheim, BC celebrates proudly the accomplishments of their local hero - no such joy will be found in in yours. And it will have little to do with the loss in game 7.

Boston has no class. Glad to see them go. Lucic is a big crybaby.

Love the Habs this year, but a big fan of ex-Canuck coach Alain Vigneault too. Looking forward to that series.

Just a couple of comments I picked up from the TSN website about the game and the series.

Said defenceman P.K. Subban: "A lot of people were saying 'Don't poke the bear.' Well I thought they gave us many reasons to keep competing throughout the whole series ... Against a bigger, stronger, more experienced team, we pulled out a victory. That's a character win for us. That's a character series win for us."

Even Claude Julien managed a good word for the Habs after calling them ‘whiners’. "It's too bad that it gets blown out of proportion. But you know what, they won the series fair and square. They were the better team tonight and you have to respect that." He also had this to say about Carey. "Carey Price was outstanding," said Julien. "He gave them a chance to win every night." Well said, Claude.

Not many teams in the league can draw two sell-out crowds but Montreal managed to do that last night as both the Gardens and the Bell Centre were filled to capacity. Rock on fans!
