Beautiful OT goal by PK. Glad to see the Habs take it to Boston at home. Go Montreal!

i should have added a comment about cary price, as it is he who is responsible for their win,

scoring chances for boston were almost triple montreal's, and he made save after save, total shots

on price- 51, so he must continue that stellar play for his team to have success in this series, as boston

was obviously the better and stronger team, but could not conquer price.

reminded me a bit of san jose in the last game trying to score on quick, as he was almost super human
to watch, an amazing goalie, much different style than price, but same outcome.

Price had a weird game. He stopped many that should've been goals yet the three he let in we're a little lackluster.

Rangers > Pitt 3-2 OT

I thought Pitts second goal should not have been allowed for interference on the goalie. This way the game would have ended in regulation time. Intense match with much more to follow ...

yeah, we said the same thing, the stick was preventing lunquist from moving his arm, but it seems
all the official was watching was the height of the stick, and of course 'they' can't do two
things at once, that is for those with 'quick thinking and good eyes'. umm, that was mean, but i
couldn't resist. lol

watched chicago/minnesota game. all chicago first period, all minnesota 2nd period, and the beginning
of the 3rd, till patrick kane scored one of the most beautiful goals i've seen this season, then
he scored another one, then an empty netter, and thats all she wrote. chi. 5 minn 2

wow, what a gAme.

thought habs were going to pull it off there for awhile, but the tieing goal ignited boston, and from
there they were a different team, looked like their old selves.

price was outstanding again, both the tieing and go ahead goal went off a defenceman, can't stop those.

i want habs to win this series, but i'm kind of glad boston won cause i would like this series to go to
seven games, more great hockey to enjoy.

i'm loven it, back to montreal now, lets see what they can do there.

at least subban won't get booed, but chara probably will, so guess its *** for tat wherever any of
them go.

thats funny can't say ***, ok lets say breast for tat, is that better? lol

the acquiring of marian gaborik to the l.a. kings at the trade deadline really paid off tonight.

he assisted first goal, and scored the tieing goal and also the winning goal to give l.a. the

win, 3-2.

surprisingly a very clean game, a fast game, and yes, sallane scored a goal, what a player, this
is his last year, he will be missed, a great career.

Pitt > Rangers 3-0

Rangers played tonight like they were exhausted. No game plan, no checking, nothing. They were totally dominated by Pitt. I'm hoping it was just an off night and that they will rebound but I gotta say I was not impressed by their puny efforts (especially that pathetic PP game) at all.

my take on this game is that pittsburgh 'had' to win, no other choice, they were at home, allready lost the
first one, and if they went to new york down two, they might as well pack it in, so i saw a desperate,
and determined team win a game they had to win, with lunquist's best efforts, still not good enough, they were not going to be denied, just like
boston yesterday, somehow they had to get it done.

And get it done they did........with a shut-out yet. The Rangers looked like they ran out of steam and even the vaunted Lundquist couldn't get them a win. Nice going Pens.......now let's see what you can do in NY.

Was quite impressed with the way the Pens played last night, gopher.........they were all over the ice and all over the Rangers. Just hope they can continue to play like that for the rest of the series.

of all the teams who made the playoffs this year the team with the most canadians on their roster

is 'colorado avalanche', with 21

'boston bruins' 15

philly - 19, san jose 20, l.a., montreal, anaheim, minnesota, rangers, st. louis, all have 13

pittsburg 10, chicago 9, tampa bay 9, detroit 6

kind of interesting, i was just curious.

so, what team was 'actually' the real canadian team in the playoffs, just a
different view of things.
21 canadian players on the one team, kind of neat i think.

Rangers defeated by Pitt again in what was a rather listless effort by the Broadway Blues. Five game in 7 days is just too much for the players nowadays and it creates rather uncreative games like the one tonight. Opening series should be no more than 2 of 3, second round 3 of 5. If they must then let the final round be 4 of 7. Otherwise, there's really no use in having a regular season because the players are exhausted and the games are less fun.

it is a joke having that many games in the playoffs for the rangers, in such a short time period, And
then bylsma opened his big yap and said he didn't see a tired rangers team at all, why doesn't he
talk about his own team, he sounded really silly and immature talking like that.
rangers must win next game or they Are toast, just like pittsburgh 'had' to win last game, thats just
the way it is, it is very rare for a series to go like the l.a./san jose series did, usually teams have
to stay close in games won and try to take the series as fAr as possible, maybe right to game 7, so
with a ranger win next game they can do that. they outshot pittsburg by a bunch.
i didn't see the game, was out dog training tonight, just got home to see rest of the l.a./anaheim game.
wow crosby got a goal, wonders never cease. lol

l.a. just continued along, winning again 3-1 over anaheim ducks, gaborik got a goal very early into
the game, continueing on from the two he scored right near the end of last game and on into the
overtime, so he is hot.

back to l.a. now for games 3 and 4, so anaheim are in tough now after losing first two at home.

these are the best playoffs for many years, maybe with exception of rangers/pittsburgh series,
which hasn't been all that exciting as far as stellar play by either team.

can't wait for boston/montreal game tomorrow, and chicago/minnesota, even though chicago are
up two, the quality of play by both teams is very impressive, too bad one team has to be
knocked out.

Yes talloola..........there is much joy in Penguinland now that Sid has finally...........finally hit the scoreboard. Yahoosie! Can't watch the games now as I am house-sitting for folks who don't have a TV or a radio so I have to get my game news online. Really miss watching the play-offs as they have been so exciting this year........ah well. Go Sid. Go Penguins! LOL!

and now that he got 'one', he will probably score by the bushell and catch up to everyone else ahead of him.

of course i want rangers to win the next one to keep the series alive and competetive, i do feel for
vineault and that group, i'm sure they need some rest, at least 48 hours between games would be nice.
so much is all about how the goalies play, fleury right now looks very good, and actually he did
early on as well till he had that bit of a melt down at the end of a game.
so if he keeps playing like he is, and pitts. offence plays well, they will probably win the series, as
they do have better offence than rangers.
but then there is lunquist, who is among the top goalies as well.

im hoping for l.a. to beat out anaheim as well, i like their team better, and with a bit better offence
this playoffs, they do have some scoring punch, something they didn't have all year.
again, its really all about the goalies really, quick is awsome.

i do think chicago will win out over minnesota, but everyone should know that minnesota has an awsome
team now, full of very good players, and next year they will be right there again, and so will colorado
as they just need a boost in defense, and they will be so much fun to watch with all those young stars.
and they might have done better if 'cooke' hadn't taken the knee out on tyson berry, what a sleeze he
still is, as berry was a huge part of the colorado defense and was responsible many times for taking
the puck out of their own end, and making great passes, so that really hurt them, and patrick roy
obviously was the perfect answer for those young guys as a coach, they love him there.

It just doesn't get any better than that! Price for first star, P.K. for 11/2.

Great win for Montreal, JLM..........and PK just keeps rockin' the ice. One slightly iffy night and Carey seems back in fine form. Rock on Habs!

yep, boston just couldn't figure price out, the calm cool guy who stops everything.

i notice weise scored again, he's been playing good hockey, and he should still be
a canuck, too bad gillis didn't get fired before he traded him, what a stupd move,
and also torterella for pasting him to the bench, dumb, dumb, dumb.

minnesota just defeated chicago, a very good game, hard hockey a great battle, and no
goal till the 3rd period, then minnesota broke it open, won the game 4-0, and that
crowd was electric, good for them to see their team win a playoff game, this could
be the beginning of a good run of years for that team, they are good, and will get
better.
