Nice to see some life in my Penguins tonight.........much better game overall.....empty netter sealed the deal. Watching LA and SJ right now.......LA up by 2 early in the 2nd.

very wierd series between l.a. and san jose, so one sided first three games, now san jose can't get
anything to go their way, and l.a. look real good, maybe this one is going to 7 games.

LA-SJ.

One of the better games I've seen all year-some outstanding effort from both teams.

as i watched this game i saw s.jose playing very stiff, like wooden soldiers, couldn't seem to
loosen up at all till the second period when they started hitting, that got them going a bit,
but with the score allready 3-0, l.a. had the luxury of not having to extend themselves too
much on offense, but could ramp up their defensive game, (which is their strength) and make
sure s. jose didn't score, the game moved along with san jose never able to finish anything,
and quick played well, without having to worry about the score, neimi didn't play particularly
well, had to be pulled, and i didn't think the game was good for one team, but very good for
the other.
san jose might just have thrown away the series with that poor game last night, as l.a. goes home
now, and feels very good about themselves.

dallas were ahead 4-2, 2 minutes left in the game against anaheim. they couldn't manage to hang on to
the two goal lead, gave up the lead, ended the 3 rd period tied, went into overtime, and lost the
game very early in that period.

dallas were pitiful, even though i was hoping for them to win, i now feel no pain for them at all.
they couldn't close it out, and now they are finished for the season.
they played in total panic, no plan, no strength, just panic, so get out your golf clubs boys, you
deserve it.

actually all of the teams in
the playoffs could easily win as lose, maybe not tampa bay, as they didn't
have ben bishop, but had they had him, they also were right there with all
the others.
chicago also are moving forward, st. louis going home,

I can see it all now..........................Habs vs. Ducks -:)

can't see the ducks beating, either chicago, san jose,/ l.a., maybe minnesota or colorado, but then

either one of them probably won't win the west.

habs better figure out how they will get by boston before they look any further, which is a possibility,
but i'm sure boston has different plans than losing to the habs.

they have had great battles in the past, i'm looking forward to another one.

what a wierd bunch of playoff games. no lead seems safe. pittsburgh are moving on, but their game has been anything but stellar.

they had the game thoroughly under control, until about 6 minutes or so left in game, 4-0 was the
score, they ended up winning 4-3, oh well, guess someone has to win.

columbus is finished, but i like their team, a very good team.

The Hockey News led off tonight with "Breathe, Penguin fans" and that is exactly what I had to tell myself to do as I watched my guys blow a 4 - 0 lead. As the story continued with 'Unbelievable'......that is also how I felt. I honestly thought Columbus was going to pull it off and force an OT.......how the Pens managed to hang, I just don't know. So now I go from thinking they wouldn't make it by the Blue Jackets to wondering what the heck they are going to do in the next round. I do have to say it was very nice seeing Malkin get his mojo back with a hat-tick yet.......Rock on Evgeni! ......gee maybe the Kid will show up against........I am hoping, the Rangers.

i'm hoping the rangers too.

san jose and l.a. are now tied 3 a piece and go to game 7, that is a wierd series too, and now i don't
even cheer for anyone anymore, i just watch and wonder what will happen, cause i've seen it all.

minnesota and colorado go to game 7 in colorado, and haven't a clue what will happen there either,
but minnesota is actually the better team, but that doesn't mean anything any more. play it out.

looking forward to montreal/boston, they always put on a great show when they meet in playoffs,
and even though boston seems the better team, i'm sure they would rather be meeting any other
team than the habs.

it would be nice if montreal knocked boston out, then trevor linden could interview jim benning for
the g.m. job and get on with his plans.

The LA/SJ series is incredible. They really hit a home run with the new playoff bracket format.

yes, all of the media is raving about the new bracket format too, and these playoffs have been the best
to watch in many many years.

san jose could have put them away lAst night, they played well, but that controversial goal seemed to
break their focus, and they couldn't keep it going. lots of chat about that goal today, i didn't see
it, but bob mckenzie described exactly how it happened, and he didn't like 'that' they counted it,
although he did say the puck was 'not' frozen, but brown did push the goalie and puck in the net,
so lots of sour feelings about that one.
there has, (as usual) been too many plays where the officials have 'blown' a call or a non call', too
bad, guess it won't ever stop seems the officials just can't keep up with the play. they do need some
added reviews and challenges i think.

It would be fricken beautiful if Montreal can knock Boston out!-:)

they said that series might start fridAy night, no confirmation yet.

both teams have a-1 goalies, boston has the size and very complete game, but montreal have lots of
spirit and try, especially when they play boston, as they have been foes for years in the playoffs
and regular season, so that hasn't gone away.

I'm not sure if I like the playoff format, it was better before!

Rangers whimped out against Philly today - their puny defenders wouldn't even touch Simmonds while in the crease as he steamrolled them like a bunch of ants. Everybody in the chat room I was in were screaming bloody murder at the Rangers puniness tonight. Game seven tomorrow. Hopefully, they will finally learn to play more physical if they ever hope to advance in the playoffs.

yes, i was doing the same thing, they looked awful, and simmons had far too much room to himself, no wonder
he got a hattrick.

the only other thing i can say, is that philly had their backs against the wall, facing ellimination, so
a team in that position does play with desperation, and find a way to win, but rangers made it far too
easy for them, and mason was great for philly as well.
