I think you said it well, Talloola, the teams are so even these days that on any given day you just can't tell who is going to prevail.
now that they are back in their building, and have some practice time and a real routine, they
have played better.
I don't rate pittsburg as one of the top teams in the league, defensively they are weak.

"We're going to know more, but I think we know a lot already," Daniel Sedin told the National Post. "I think we're a really good team when we play the way we can and we've shown that the last seven or eight games. It wasn't pretty [Tuesday], but we got pucks deep and battled hard and created some chances. This was a good start to our road trip. We battled hard in a tough building."
Sharks: It's going to happen during an 82-game season, even to the hottest teams. Whatever the reason, every team hits a rough spot. For the Sharks, that has meant settling for a single point in each of the past three games. San Jose fell behind 3-1 and 4-3 Tuesday night to the Buffalo Sabres, who have the fewest points in the NHL, and wound up losing 5-4 in a shootout.
Forward Logan Couture feels the winless streak is a matter of concern.
"We haven't played very well the last couple games," Couture told to the San Jose Mercury News. "We were just too slow with the puck, standing over it, not moving it. At the start of the year, you watch our games and we're 'boom boom boom' out of the zone and in their zone.

very interesting game indeed, as much as canucks have improved since kesler was moved to the wing,
and the second line have given excellent support, san jose have settled into a more normal mode,
and don't seem so unbeatable right now, (perhaps that game with buffalo cracked a bit of their

Yeah, they were saying tonight the Canucks have suffered 9 straight losses from the Sharks, but anyway now they have an elephant off their back. How many more meetings with the Sharks this season?
we play them again next week, then it will be four, can't find any more on the schedule.

"I didn't know it was 300 until they announced it in the second period," Quick said in the Los Angeles Times. "We got two points out of it. It's what we were looking for.
"It was the first time in a while that we didn't give up a power-play goal. So that's a positive, something to build on."
The Kings' penalty kill ranked 20th in the League at 80.6 percent entering Friday. They'll face a Canucks power-play unit Saturday that has also struggled, ranking 26th at 10.3 percent.

l.a. are a tough bunch, one has to admire their grit and tanacity, and maybe next time canucks will
prevail, but looks like tonight is l.a. night.

I think I know what you mean-when they buy in to his system it's all fine but they're also prone to lapses both physical & mental-just like they were under Vigneault.
Actually I watched the first two periods and I thought the Canucks looked good for the first half of the game. Luongo couldn't be faulted for the first goal. The team had "lots of jump", but their downfall may have been a lapse or two in positioning. It's just one game, #Juan and they had just smoked a team some people thought they might have some trouble with. It ain't the end of the world and I predict (maybe stupidly so) a win tonight. Also don't forget Quick is quick and a masterful goal tender.

Maybe a little lack luster (the pun was definitely unintentional ) but I think the schedule is starting to take its toll. Can't really fault Eddie Lack. Maybe the "big guns" don't quite have the jump they need.
Maybe they are running low on gas. They certainly had enough shots so it wasn't for lack of trying. Hey, you can't be a hero all the time! -

can't talk about a game as the 'whole' team, evaluation has to take place each period, and also line by
line, its easy to conclude by saying 'they', meaning the whole team, but it is 'never' like that, as
that includes lines/players who played well, and not given credit.
