ROCK ON ALEX!

Not many players have the ability to 'see' the ice, talloola - Gretzky and Crosby come to mind, but having someone on the Canucks team who is able to do so is a real plus for the team.

GO, ALEX..........GO, CANUCKS!

Apart from the Sedins and not far behind them I think over the long haul of several years, Burrows has been at least equal to any other Canuck, including Salo and Bieksa.

yes jlm I would agree, and although kesler gets all of the praise for his last years accomplishments, I
would pick burrows over him, as kesler isn't my kind of player, I don't like his whining and
complaining all the time, he draws too much attention to himself, and also reacts far too much on the
ice at what others are doing to him, and it is mostly just legal hits.

yes, congratulations to alex burrows, too bad it isn't at home tonight, they would salute him
for the crowd, although he is probably glad he doesn't have to stand up and be noticed as 'one'
player, that isn't his style, it is all about team for him.

not very impressive, nashville had many more scoring chances than canucks, and as I mentioned the other day
as soon as we play nashville, reallity will set in again, the twins will dissapear, because they can't
stand up to this type of game, heavy going and close checking, takes all of their offense out of the
game, and they just don't play this type of game very well, although I thought burrows played pretty
good, he can muck around in this kind of game quite well.

luongo played great, gave the team a chance to get back in it, but no way, it wasn't going to happen.

chicago defeated detroit tonight

canucks/detroit - thursday

Hansen played well but needs to go to the net to produce points.

I loved that 5 man rush too bad there was only one far too late in the game.

yes, their scoring chances and rushes were far too few, but thats typical nashville hockey,
they have to be able to play through that tight checking hockey.

and, nashville are better this year, they are faster, more offensive as well as their usual
very good defense, so anyone playing them will have their hands full.
I'm interested to see what they do before or on the trade deadline, maybe more offense, because
they could be a real threat in playoffs this year.
yeah, hanson has his 'jump' back, and its also getting close to trade deadline, and
none of them want to go anywhere, hence better play.

Don't know what to think about raymond anymore, he skates miles, he makes great
passes, he is lightening fast, he can control the puck in tight areas, and dish
it off to a team mate, but he doesn't score, so not sure what the management
has in mind for him, I don't really want him to go anywhere, even if he isn't
scoring, he still has many other skills.

Vancouver has too many "nice guys". They have lots of talent but they can't seem to win a
battle on the boards. If an opposing player is driving for the puck, a lot of the Canucks tend
to slow up and get there second.
That was their second game in two nights but the play-offs are full of those situations. These
guys need a wake-up call if they expect to get past the second round. Maybe Gillis and AV need
to have a good look at who's available. Right now, I don't think the Canucks will get to the
final

yes, the determination and speed we saw from nashville last night was just too much for canucks,
and the acquisition of 6ft 7in hal gill made a difference to kesler's game, as gill shoved him
around pretty good till kesler backed off, and his game wasn't near as aggressive after that.

and of course nashville was at home, they were very confident and they seem to have a new
lease on life right now, and they feel they have a chance to take it all, so other teams
have to step up and show up.

its too bad bitts is injured as he has that size to make a difference, but I wonder now if he
is just going to dissapear because his injury is the hip flexer problem, which he has had
more than one surgery for.

a couple of days ago it was figured that canucks would have to play 9 games in 15 days, so
I would think that will take some of the energy out of them, and two back to back games as well.

yes, i'm interested to see what gillis will do at the deadline, something helpful I hope.

Actually I think the loss in Nashville may have been a good thing, give them more resolve to beat Detroit!

If they meet Detroit in the third round it could be a problem all right. Otherwise I don't see one yet!

Let me know if you are still doing it tomorrow night!

Anything that happens now means nothing. The Canucks and the sedine sisters will fold in the play offs. Like they always do.

Did you ever play hockey past Peewee? I played for a lot of years and I coached
untill a knee injury drove me out of any skating part of the game. One thing I can
see is that the Sedin game is not for any "sister". What gets to the Sedins is the
miserable reffereeing that allows all the tripping and spearing and holding that is let
go in the play-offs. The coach should separate the twins and let them play with a
line that can fight off the goons.

these teams are very good playing at home, just like canucks are at home.
the season is ramping up now, it is getting more exciting as the season begins to wind down.

no one has a clue who will get to the finals, and it doesn't really matter who is doing what now,
when playoffs start it is a crap shoot, and many factors can come into play to either make
it easier or harder, 'injuries' being the crucial one.
eg. kesler injured late in the third round last year, was never the same player for the remainder
of the playoffs, and other teams will go thru the same.

datsyuk is injured and won't be back for detroit for a couple of weeks, so he will be missed, (not by the canucks lol). back to back games tomorrow, and friday in new jersey.

it is a dog fight now to the presidents' cup, I don't even think about the stanley cup right now.

PRAY hard for that to happen, it will make your day, happiness is everything.

No need to pray, it's a forgone conclusion.

Ya ya ya, typical Canuck whining. Blame the refs.

Now, that's funny. You'd almost think this is why people call the Sedin's the 'sisters'. Oh, right, that's exactly the case.

Hearing it come from you is priceless, aren't you afraid talloola will call you names and say that you've never posted anything worth reading?

As far as you posting something worth reading, I'm sure you will one day.

Only morons call the Sedins "sisters". If the whole team were Sedin twins, Vancouver wouldn't lose a game.
