this was a very good game for two periods, but unfortunately the canucks forgot there are 3 periods
in a complete game, and that includes schneider who let in a couple of suspect goals.

I didn't like kesler's game at all, good for a while, but then he lost focus, seemed angry most of the
time, and lost his concentration on playing good hockey, and just threw himself around the ice, shades
of what he was like a few years ago.

Just to get back on topic......Canucks 1 Chicago 5

Schneider looked quite ordinary tonight but you can't win many games when
you score only one goal. Nor can you win many games when you allow
the other team to score 5.

yeah thats right, and I guess we have to give some kudos to their goalie
who stopped everything that came his way.
canucks just looked very ordinary and tired in the 3rd period, the defense
dissapeared, too many good scoring chances for chicago, and some of them
went in, some didn't, score could have been higher as schneider did make
some very good saves, but two not so good.

the loss of ballard during the game didn't help either.

I saw two infractions against chicago that was not called, so we should
have had two power plays, our bread and butter, and in the last game we
played chicago we scored 5 out 6 goals on power play, so they came into
canucks building determined 'not' to get penalties, they did their homework,
but got lucky with two non-calls.

...and Vancouver misses out on a few power plays. You'd think that would happen to the other team once in a while.

It does. The last time the Canucks played Chicago I think they beat them 6 - 2..

The bottom line is the Canucks are the current holder of the President's Trophy, which is the most prestigous trophy as they had to beat 29 teams to get it, Stanley Cup winner only has to beat 4 teams!

that happened in their last game against anaheim, they had no power plays, pay attention

It's funny how most times Vancouver plays another team, the opposing goalie has an amazing night.

their goalie didn't have an amazing night, but he did his job efficiently, and canucks goalie didn't quite do
that.
in this league a goalie 'must'
play well each and every night, letting in a couple of easy goals just doesn't cut it.
all of the teams are too close in talent and their ability to win games, it doesn't take much to fall
behind, but a lot to win.
keven bieksa hit a goal post, hansen missed a breakaway and a tip in, (puck bounced off the ice just as
he was going to hit it in to the empty half of the net), thats just the way games go for everyone, as
they say 'a game of inches'.

I got a thousand dollars that says you couldn't find one NHLer that thinks the President's Trophy is more prestigious than the Stanley Cup.

Like I keep saying...Nucks fans...what a hoot.

mike babcock, coach of detroit gave quite an interview a couple of weeks ago, and
I did mention it here, and made special mention how important and difficult it is
to win the presidents' cup, that it is important, and if a team finishes in the
top 10 in the regular season, they are a very good team.
I have lots of respect for his opinion, a very good hockey mind.
its OK, you don't have to send me the money, you probably don't even have $1000.00.

what you say or what you think could be put thru the eye of a needle, but you are annoying, or you try to be, that is the only thing you work at,you do
pretty good at that, and that is all you seem to be interested in doing,
you have nothing interesting or constructive to say, your like static on the radio, or a drone on
the radio, (which mine is doing right now, maybe its you.lol).

aren't you missing your anger management class this morning, your instructor will be concerned because
you are a serious case, and he/she will be missing you.
enjoy the next canucks game - sunday ottawa comes to town

eddie lack has been sent back to chicago, so luongo must be getting healthy and will probably play sunday.

kesler didn't practice this morning, that stupid 100 mile an hour crash into the end boards probably
injured him again, his own fault

ballard and luongo also did not practice

Doesn't every kid dream of winning the President's Trophy?
Don't the players on the winning team take the trophy to their home town for a special event?

On the contrary, I did educate you on the Rome hit. You're welcome BTW (or maybe you don't think education is constructive)

the province paper gave me the info.
I learn many things from around the 'brains of the nhl' and others, but somehow when I check my list of
those who I respect very much, and watch for their articles and interviews, your name isn't there.
imagine that, and WOW its not even on my enemy list, as I respect them too, you didn't even make my
list of nobodys.

I don't understand people like you, your whole life is on the negative side, I don't
live there, and don't want to.

Talloola, this guy only comes on certain topics to throw some feces around. He's done that on numerous other topics and will do so in the future.

Ignore him, dear.............he is not worthy of your thoughts or your time. Let him post what he will. He does provide a lot of laughs for the rest of us.

You are the reigning Queen of all things hockey, IMNSHO.

OK, i'll do that mowich, thanks for the thoughts.

I have a sick dog this morning, he's lying right beside me. He has epilepsy, has had it for years, and I
think he must have had a seizure in the night, as he can't walk very well this morning, those seizures
drain their muscles, takes about 48 hours to return to normal.
He actually is doing very well, he is 13 now, and very healthy, just a seizure every few months, such a
friend, chocolate lab, Joe, he just wants to be close by, so I won't venture very far today.

get ready for that big game on Sunday, should be a good one, I know the lions are highly favoured, but I
don't buy into any of that, the game has to be played, and anything can happen, but I sure would love to
see those lions in the grey cup in their own barn, (what a barn)

Really sorry to hear about Joe, talloola..............your comfort probably means more to him than anything else right now. Good chance to stay tuned to Team 1040 and listen to all the so-called experts go on about the Canucks. I still say it is early days and things can change in a heart-beat when injuries start occurring.

I buy into the favoritism more now that Jerome Messam won't be a threat............actually sorry to hear that he won't as it would really test the Lion's defensive skills. I really like Kavis Reed - he's such a level headed coach and cares deeply about his 'guys' and were they playing anyone else but the Lions I would be cheering heartily for them.

The game I really am focused on is the Winnipeg vs Hamilton game. Don't know which way it will go..........though I will be cheering for my long-time fav's the Ti-Cats.

they have lapierre on team 1040 right now, good interview, I like him, a great skater and a much better
player than I ever thought when he came to the canucks.
they had a bag skate today, vineault was not pleased with them, and for good reason.

Sorry talloola.............I don't know what a 'bag skate' is.............could you explain?

What do you think about the 'poll question' today, talloola.........don't pay attention to the hosts names, so don't know who gave that big spiel on Ryan just now............what do you think?
