Yep, a confident (and competent) person, makes his statement and lets it go at that!

I kind of thought he was talking about game 1 against Boston where he got the suspension for the rest of the playoff games. NO?

oh maybe, my mind was on the most recent hit, which is the one where I said it was a borderline call,
which he mentioned.

even the one in the playoffs, it was similar, he didn't break his nose there, so I don't know what he
is talking about. He needs to prove the broken nose theory, I can't find that stat anywhere.

the referee said "this penalty was given because the hit was 'late' not because it was illegal"
that was the hit in the playoffs. 'interference', but it was also a high hit, I will agree to that.

such an angry little man, wonder why some are so angry, whats that all about anyway.

OK, i'm going out to play in the sun with my cats, have a good one, talk to you
later

This past spring I declared that the Canucks would not win the Stanley Cup (I had very good reason to think that). Not one single Canucks fan bothered to ask why.

Probably because very few people actually care enough about what you think to ask.

The article in The Province clearly states '...bleeding from a broken nose'. (right there, in the second paragraph) Now, I suppose that it's theoretically possible that he had a broken nose for some time, and it only spontaneously decided to bleed after this hit, in which case, you'd be right.

So do I. That doesn't make anybody an expert. I would say that your credibility continues to wane but you've never really had any.

This past spring I declared that the Canucks would not win the Stanley Cup (I had very good reason to think that). Not one single Canucks fan bothered to ask why. Instead they just attacked me personally. Hands down the least knowledgeable fans in Canada. It's no wonder you guys think Talloola knows so much.

So you had 15 chances out of 16 of being right Whoopie f*****g ding!

you still didn't give me the source of that information about the broken nose.
what is it.

I did. As usual, you don't bother to read.

So you had 15 chances out of 16 of being right Whoopie f*****g ding!

Being right is not the point. I had valid reasons to believe the Nucks had no chance and Nuck fans couldn't be bother to hear them. I guess they were too focused on getting on and off the bandwagon.

Probably because very few people actually care enough about what you think to ask.

You might have had a point if they didn't bother to respond at all but the tantrums it causes whenever I poo-poo the Sedin sisters clearly shows they care.

I think it was #juan who said that all Vancouver needs is a decent goalie, some defense, and a few power forwards.

All the Sedins need is a special rule from the NHL that allows them to 'play their style of hockey' during the playoffs. Apparently, the other teams feel that it's okay to play to win, and that upsets the twins.

that kind of grinding anger and sarcasm is useless garbage, and it is only a person who
is angry and trying his darndest to spread it around, won't work here.

Canucks host HawksSergei J. Feldman - NHL.com Staff Writer

TV: CSN-CH, SNET-P (HD)

Last 10: Chicago (6-3-1); Vancouver (5-5-0)

Season Series: The two Western Conference combatants will meet for the second of four times this season. Just 10 days ago, Vancouver handled Chicago, 6-2, on the road. Daniel and Henrik Sedin combined for seven points in a winning effort for the Canucks.

Big Story: While the Chicago Blackhawks aim to maintain their lead atop the Central Division — they also own the best record in the League.

Team Scope:

Blackhawks — The Blackhawks' rendezvous with the Canucks will mark the first game of a six-game road trip that will span two weeks. They enter the trip feeling good about their game, as the Hawks have rebounded from a three-game winless skid and currently ride a three-game winning streak. They've done so in dominant fashion, too, outscoring Columbus, Calgary and Edmonton, 16-7. The wins all came in Chicago and getting six of a possible six points was an important feat for the Hawks.

"It was important we finish this homestand right," defenseman Steve Montador said. "We're still learning, still making mistakes and learning from them."

Canucks — While the Blackhawks embark on a long road trip, the Canucks just came off of a similar trip, in which they went 3-3-0. Nowadays, the Canucks are on a three-game homestand and started things on the right track, beating the New York Islanders, 4-1. Unfortunately, the Canucks will continue their homestand without the services of goalie Roberto Luongo, who is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, although coach Alain Vigneault said it was "nothing serious," according to the team's website.

Moving forward, the Canucks will rely on contributions elsewhere and recently, defenseman Aaron Rome has embraced that role. In a recent 4-1 win over the Islanders, Rome collected a goal and two assists and the team recognized the importance of that depth and contribution.

"We're fighting over who gets on the ice with him, who changes for his partner so you get a couple seconds out there with him just in case (he scores)," teammate Kevin Bieksa said. "Everything he touches is turning to gold."

Who's Hot: Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa and Jonathan Toews each own three-game scoring streaks to lead the Hawks while the Sedin twins have points in three of their past five games for the Canucks.

Injury Report: Brent Seabrook and Dave Bolland are day-to-day with leg and foot injuries, respectively, for the Hawks while the Canucks are without Luongo (upper-body), forward Andrew Ebbett (foot), Steve Pinizzotto (shoulder), who are day-to-day and Byron Bitz (hip), who is out indefinitely.

Stat Pack: The Blackhawks are ranked 24th and 26th in power play percentage and penalty killing, respectively.

Puck Drop: Special teams figure to be a key in the game as it was when the two teams met 10 days ago when the Blackhawks scored five with the man-advantage. Meanwhile, entering the game, the Canucks bring the top-ranked power play to the ice.

Yep, I think Luongo needs a rest for several reasons and it will give Schneider a chance to better establish himself as a crackerjack goalie.

don't be sorry, shovel it right back in his face, be my guest.

yes, I would love to see him get a good foothold in the net for quite a while, he has never had the
chance to be 'the' guy.
Eddie Lack is with the canucks now too, as backup, if you get a chance check him out, he is 6ft 5in,
about the same size as renne in nashville, and he has been playing very well for the chicago wolves.

Oh, OK guess dumb old me misinterpreted your

thats OK, my post is just about what I think, and how I would react,
definitely not for everyone.

I support your style

No suspension for Canucks' Aaron Rome over head hit on Ducks' Smith-Pelly

"The Canucks defenceman was assessed a five-minute major for elbowing and a game misconduct at 11:04 of the second period for the hit that left Smith-Pelly bleeding from a broken nose.
"

I fail to see why you question me on hockey matters as it has been shown that I'm right at least 99.9% of the time.

people who always claim to be right are lacking in character, and need to push that idea onto others to
make them feel in control and superior, a sad situation, but do whatever makes you feel like a big
boy, even though you aren't.

I read the province story, and see that the head was hit, but the whole story makes pelly have some
responsibility for the head being contacted as he ducked his head right before impact, and it was not
an elbow to the head it was rome's shoulder.

these types of hits are always a puzzle for the decision makers, as well as the person doing the hitting,
as the player suddenly moved 'down' just before impact, nothing a hitter can do at that point, it is too
late.

I love rome, he is a good defenceman and a gritty tough player, and I wouldn't change his game in any
way at all, and many other teams would love to have him too.

I did not see the head being hit, but the article definitely states as much, and shanahan saw it realistically
as well, hence no suspension, as there was no intent to target the head.

thanks for the link, it was helpfull.
