I'll be at the game tonite and I'll watch with my hands in front of my face....not gonna be pretty.

As far as I have heard Salo will be in tonite.

Halak is in net.

I thought Price was their no.1 goaltender. You'd think they would put in their best against Vancouver.

they seem to play their goalies pretty even, or whoever
is hot for a while, stays in, don't seem to have a
favourite any longer, and actually they are both top
notch goalies, but have a gliche now and then, and in
comes the other one.
halek is just as good as price

Nope, they have been doing an win and your in scenario, plus Halak has been the better goalie, look at his numbers.

The Canucks are trailing the Habs 2-1 at about the end of the second.

That game ended at 3-2 for the Habs. The Canucks out shot them 46 to 28. That goaltender was the difference.

well folks, halak was the star of this game, he was spectacular, we could have been up 2-0 two minutes into
the game, and he stoned us then, and kept it up for the
rest of the game.
I think we outshot them 47 to 28

We were poor on the faceoffs tonight, so each time that happens, the play starts
out on the stick of the other team, makes a difference, kesler usually is great
on faceoffs, not tonight.

We had many chances, and just couldn't get it by him
enough times, so that's that, can win em all.

patches of the game was very entertaining, end to end hockey, fast skating
by both teams, you could hear the montreal fans getting 'into' it, with
their chanting and cheering.

Montreal played the sedins quite well tonight, and I also
think sedins didn't have the game they usually do, but
when they don't, someone has to step up, and Kesler did,
but that was it, along with samuellson.

Montreal have some very good skaters, a smaller team, but
they move well.

So lets give credit where it is due, and that is to halak,
and move on to Ottawa, who have been playing excellent of
late.

Kind of interesting.

Raycroft is playing tonight, no indication of this until
teams came on the ice.
He isn't injured, it seems that vineault is just making a
decision to rest him a bit, he hasn't been quite himself
recently, a couple of slow starts, it has taken him half
a game to get going, 'self admitted', so, good on vineault
to do this, team first always.

In the first period the Senators owned the Canucks. They were all over them. The score is 2-0.....It could have been more. The twins have been invisible so far and Burrows has been falling(diving?) all over the place.

Burrows hasn't been diving, when the skating is so good and
he is challenged to be much smoother and faster in a zone,
then his skating weakness shows, he is not a smooth skater,
from end to end he is great, but within a zone, he falls
a lot, can't match more efficient skaters, I saw all
those falls too, and it is 'him' being a little clumsy.
Kesler and Raymond had good games, and it is the skating
again that made the difference, they are both great skaters.

Our defence looked like deer in the headlights in the
first period, but slowly improved throughout the game, but
not enough to make a difference.

Ottawa are playing so sharp right now, even the sedins
lack of great skating showed up, but I will give kudos to
ottawa, they have just won their 11th straight, and
they are on a roll, and I can see why.

Sure we outshot them by a wide margin in the third, but they
were also in a more defensive mode, didn't need goals, so
that's the reason for the imbalance in shots.

I will be so glad when mitchell and bieksa are back, we are
struggling without them, and gillis has to do something about the third line, they need to be changed so that they
can contribute.

Off to Boston now, afternoon game on Saturday.

Can we trade Wellwood for Ovechkin? If the Caps throw in a couple of draft picks it might be worth a look.

Well, the 'rest' did luongo a world of good, for he was
amazing today, won the game for his team.

Canucks don't seem to realize they are in a game till
the second period rolls around. Then they begin to
show up. It's nice to see the team can win a game
without sedins and burrows, shows the depth, and I like
the change vineault made in the lineup, even though he
did change dimetra in the last period, he still had a
good game, looks much better than he did last year.
Raymond and Kesler had great games, raymond is getting
better and better.
This was such an important win, makes such a big difference
in teams confidence and the standings, we are now 6 points
up on Calgary again.
Sedins will get their game back, this is good for them,
they will remember what it is like to play in the playoffs,
with such close checking, they haven't looked good at all
last two games, but they will be fine.
Canucks have not been very good on the road all season, and
they have to get over that if they want to get anywhere in
playoffs, so hopefully they will start next game, so they
can come home better than 500 on the road.
Now on to Florida, tampa bay on Tuesday I think, then
florida.
Tampa Bay is a good team, great players, so we have to
play 'the whole game', and not have to come from behind
again, it's time to stop that.

I see the 'Canes really blew the Devils away, talk about an upset there. Guess they are making a desperate run for a play off spot.
