A nice, solid, 4 - 1 win over the Bluejackets this afternoon. The Canucks did their usuak trick of
scoring a goal and hanging on for a period or so and then turning it on and blowing the other
team away. It was a good, entertaining game.....at least for Canucks fans. The Canucks regular seson is almost over.....At this
stage I don't know who they will face in the first round of the playoffs.

No matter who they face, how far they go will depend on whether they get continued good goaltending or if Luongo lays another playoff egg. It might be as simple as that. I don't see Schneider getting much work in the playoffs, unless Luongo is hurt or if they're way down in a series.

Let me catch up here.

Kerry Fraser is an IDIOT, Van Hellemond wasn't any better. These 2 made more bad calls against the Cannucks than every other ref in history combined.

It is the Clarence Campbell Bowl for wining the west and it was the Smythe division for Vancouver.

The presidents trophy is easily attainable after todays win, I think 2 more and a tie clinches. The Art Ross is a good possibility for Dan but I don't know about the Hart or the Richard, they are both possible but most always see the Sedins as a pair so might not give him as much consideration for the Hart, of course Kesler could be a surprise nominee for this one too. Scnieder does not have much chance for the Calder, the only goalies to win it in modern times were starters and most had a run at the Vezina in their rookie years. Alain most probably will be in the running for the Adams. In fact about the only hardware we probaly don't have at least a chance at are the Norris and the Lady Bing.

The boys keep winning even when they seem to be outplayed for long periods in games and hopefuly can keep it up into the playoffs. It looks like we might get Chicago or Anahiem in the first round. The Ducks will be tougher than most expect, they have a ton of talent and are just getting healthy and we know what the deal with Chicago is. Highly unlikely for Calgary to get in now as the teams they are chasing for 8th have 2-3 games in hand.

If we can get the Chi Town monkey of our back in the first round we might be able to ride the high all the way to Lord Stanley. Keep the fingers crossed and get the towels out, its almost time for the real hockey to start.

No matter who they face, how far they go will depend on whether they get continued good goaltending or if Luongo lays another playoff egg. It might be as simple as that. I don't see Schneider getting much work in the playoffs, unless Luongo is hurt or if they're way down in a series.

I think if we get up 3-0 or 3-1 Corey may get a game, he has earned it and should get a taste. Other than that you are probably right.

I have no feelings of chi town being a fear because of the past, the past is just that, the past, just
like the last 40 years everyone whines about.

We are a better team this year and chicago is a different team, nothing stays the same.

Doesn't matter to me what team they play, if they play their best they will win, if not they won't,
simple, not quite the same for all other teams, they can all play their best, but 'our' best is better.

I am 'retracting' a little: going into the playoffs I actually do not think canucks
are the best team, I do think there are two or three teams who have risen to the
occasion right now, and seem to be peaking at the perfect time.

The best line in the western conference, 'in my opinion', is the getzlaf, perry, ryan
line, I do think they are better than the sedin line, as all three players are big,
very talented and capable of burning anyone, then their second line with sellane is
also a good line, and of course detroit is getting healthy again, and will be ready,
and if chicago 'make it', they will be right there, AND last but not least, nashville
are again in the playoffs, and one of these seasons they will get through the first
round, maybe this year.

L.A. have suffered two serious injurys with two of their top players, which will
probably make it tough for them to go deep into the playoffs.

Forgot to mention San Jose, they have been playing top notch hockey of late, lots
of quality players, they also have a good shot in the playoffs.

And, of course 'luck' always follows along 'doing what it does', either way.

Hope the officials get lots of sleep and keep alert, I hate them to be noticed as playing a part
in the outcome.

Hope hamhuis heals up in the next week or so, because that is the 'biggest' deal for playoffs, the
health of the team.

Right now, I am just hoping, with great anticipation that canucks bring home the presidents cup,
they earned it, as they have been on top for a long time now, and have made us all proud.

If chicago defeat detroit tonight, canucks will clinch the conference.

GO CANUCKS GO

Don't think you have any worries there, Talloola they still have games against Edmonton and Calgary so they will almost definitely there. Getting exciting now. Just need to win one more game than they did in '94.

Yep, them Flames are definitely flickering.

too bad canucks can't pick up iginla to join them for the playoffs, just like we did with
minor teams when we won, we always picked up a top player from other team to join us for
provincials or nationals or such, just wishful thinking, oh well.

Maybe he will go and play for the world hockey, they would love to have him.

Maybe better if the Canucks can win the cup with their own guys.

yeah, I just feel for him, as he has played like a hero for so many years, he is so talented,
such a good person, a great leader on his team, it would be nice to see him win the cup too,
oh well, he does have a gold medal or two.

Great to see the Hawks pull a win off in overtime last night against the Red Wings. They must be really happy to have Toews back, especially as he scored the first goal last night. The Hawks play the Bruins tonight and I'll be cheering for them. I think I am going to sign up for the NHL channels next season - too late now - then I can watch the Cannucks whenever I want too.

we have NHL center ice, costs about 50.00 per month for about 4 mos., and we love it, we don't spend
money on much, in the way of social life, no smoking or drinking, so doesn't seem to be much to be
putting out for lots of enjoyment, we can watch as many games as we want, every night, so we watch
some, and switch out of it when we've had enough.

it's nice to get to know the NHL throughout, and not just our own team, especially players all over
the league, as there are many good ones, and 'that' makes watching hockey 'better', a little
knowledge never hurt anyone.

Ho ho ho- I'd say the icing is on the cake!

yeah, good for them, they earned it, big time, i'm just waiting for the z to go beside
their name in the NHL web site, it's not there yet, but they do have their 111 points posted.

they played well against nashville, not an easy team to play, they are so 'tight' and defensive,
but canucks caused them to break down a few times tonight.

burrow's 'go to' move, how sweet it is.

everyone should start digging through the closets and trunks, for those canuck flags and white
towels, or banners because 'THAT TIME IS DRAWING NEAR'.
