Why punish him? That's probably why he's bull**ting, scared of mom going mental. Tell him not to lie. Pretty novel, eh?So what is the the appropriate punishment for a kid that is a bull****ter?

Hot sauce no...They administer hot sauce to prisoners for punishment? Really?
They do not lose the right to not be assaulted. This child is not a criminal. Prisoners lose rights when they commit a crime.
I agree, which is why hot sauce isn't the same thing a pepper spray. I took cold baths as a kid, because we were running out of fire wood for luxuries such as hot water. This child hasnt and shouldn't be subjected to the treatment of criminals.
I just told my boys to go get the hot sauce and a spoon. They did the rest. 2 minutes of it in their mouths, spit and an apology. They began to like hot sauce and the punishment became a joke as they kept asking for hotter sauces. To put hot sauce in the kids mouth she'd have to use physical force to do it, and to keep the kid in the shower.
Nope. Parents are legally allowed to restrain their children, and administer corporal punishment. But even then, she didn't hold him down, or in anyway strike, or physically restrain him, as she put a splash of hot sauce in his mouth. That would be assault.
The court agreed? She's been charged, not convicted.Apparently the court agreed at the very least that it was illegal in some respect.

All kids bs. I've caught my own many times. Rather than beat her I use the novel approach of a conversation. Bringing out hot sauce is simply stupid and unnecessary. Are you one of those people who think kids only lie when they have a reason to? It's funny to watch what happens to people like that when they're on the receiving end.
Are all kids like your kids? All kids bs. I've caught my own many times. Rather than beat her I use the novel approach of a conversation. Bringing out hot sauce is simply stupid and unnecessary.
I'm truly not trying to pick a fight, but that's ridiculous.Bear, parenting is about the easiest thing a human can do.
I punish when and only when is absolutely necessary.Don't complicate it with needless punishment.
What about those model parents, whose children grow up and enter the penal system?Perhaps, but we all take too much credit. Our kids will be fine as long as we don't screw them up.
Bear, parenting is about the easiest thing a human can do. Don't complicate it with needless punishment.
Regardless, a dash of hot sauce or a cold shower, is hardly abuse. IMHO, it makes a mockery and trivializes real abuse.
Who said they beat their kids? Who's stuffing hot sauce down a kids throat? If you have to beat a kid or stuff hot sauce down his throat to make a point then you trivialize normal behavior.
I don't know the answers Kreskin, I'm not prone using my imagination to form or answer questions. What if she's out of hot sauce?
Does she have to go to the grocery store to get her next stock of parenting equipment?
What would be her next parenting weapon choice?
Then you didn't have it done to you when you were a child. The lady in this situation, put a dash in the child's mouth, not his eyes.Absolutely this is child abuse. I had this done to me as a young teen by my mother, but she put it in my eyes.
Again, nothing like what the child in this situation went throughShe had my older brother hold me down and put drops of tabasco in my eyes.
And abuse it is.That was one of her milder forms of abuse.
Anyone that would confuse or equate what you just made public, with what happened in the video, is an idiot.Anyone that would excuse this kind of behavior is sick.
She is an idiot.
