Only the few that paid far too much for their McMansions will be in trouble. This happened in 1982-3 as well. As long as you can make your payments it won't be a problem. Just don't try borrowing against equity. IF turdOWE is allowed to crash the economy and there are no jobs then there will be a problem. Also some good deals for those that have practiced fiscal responsibility.
