I don't thi nk she is a monster, BUT she certainly made a fool out of herself a few days
ago, saying that when she went to Bosnia they had to run for cover and dodge flying bullets,
when leaving the plane, AND it has been proven to be a lie, as they have footage of her
and her party leaving the plane. NO SUCH PROBLEMS. Very congenial arrival at the
airport, lots of smiles and a very nice greeting.

Anyone catch the spin they threw on this?:roll:

Sarah Palin for Veep???

Conservatives won't like her because she believes in global warming and disdains equal rights for gays (that would hurt her with the Log Cabin gay boys and girls).

But, as a populist, she has been know for socking it to fellow Republicans for their corruption. That should win her a few cross-over Dem and Indy votes.

In truth, I would have preferred her as the GOP front runner.

Clinton rejects call to quit race

Mrs Clinton pledged to continue in the race

US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has rejected calls by supporters of her rival, Barack Obama, to abandon her campaign for the Democratic nomination.
Senator Patrick Leahy, an influential Democrat and Obama supporter, had said that by remaining in the race she was helping the Republican party.
Mrs Clinton told supporters she had no intention of abandoning the race.
She is trailing Mr Obama in the number of delegates needed to obtain the nomination.
But the latest opinion polls show her leading Mr Obama by more than ten points in the next major primary in Pennsylvania on 22 April.
She got a vote of support from her daughter, Chelsea, who remarked that her mother would make a better president than her father, Bill Clinton, had been.
"Yes, I do think she'll be a better president," said Chelsea, without explaining her reasoning.
For his part, Mr Clinton said those calling for his wife to pull out of the race should "just relax".
"Everywhere I go, all these working people say, 'Don't you dare let her drop out - don't listen to those people in Washington'."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
How sweet - getting an endorsement from her daughter!
Hillary is one tough cookie! She has made it this far - she'll carry on till the bitter or sweet end.
Does that show leadership quality or determined ambition?

Change Works

Hillary and Bill planned out this strategy in their college days. A woman in the White House would not be constrained by "the old boy's club". Thatcher beat all the fuddy duddies in Britain. Hillary has been my choice forever and probably a Thatcher fan and mentor.

The "ole boys club" has less to do with genitalia than it does with historical perspective. The "ole boys club" was so coined because men historically have predominated coporate executives and government. Partly because women weren't given equal representation but had to fight for their right to vote and because they weren't respected by the male elite sufficiently to warrant consideration for executive positions. The post-modern character of the "ole boys club" is significantly more focused on the sub-current of loyalty to self-interest that permeates the corporate and government structures we wrestle with every day.

By the way...

Could anyone please help me out with Johai's writing on my "wall"...?

What does c.r.a.f.t. mean...if anything?

It's a quote from a book titled "Even Cowgirls get the Blues". A character in the book is described as "the chink" and my understanding of the characters perspective on life is very similar to my personal view.

Sorry if you found it offensive....

We all still have to keep things inperspective at this early hour of the race. The one thing that is apparent for the Democrats is that their contentious issues are apparently not solved yet. Look at that race with a jaudiced eye too. Why all the differences in opinion from the same side? Just remember the choices are simple. The Bro or the Hoe. Which one will get the nod?

Hi, Norm;
if money mattered, the hoe would get the nod!!! The Clintons have just revealed to the world how poor they are!!!

Clintons' earnings exceed $100m

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and her husband, ex-President Bill Clinton, have revealed they earned more than $100m (£50m) in eight years.
....
The Clintons paid around $34m in taxes between 2000 and 2007, their returns show. They also paid $10m to Charity in the same period.

All the details here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7331834.stm

Loon, the language you speak with leads me all the more to think that you are full of ****. Since you claim to have been a bystander in germany during the war, I would think you would have to be born in the early 30's. Now, please tell me where you added "hoe" to your vocabulary? I have yet to meet a women in her late 70's, early 80's who refer to women as "hoe's". To paraphrase, you are clown boots and a lying sack of fecal matter.

Democrat Pelosi urges end to race

Mrs Pelosi said the nomination race was hurting the Democrats' chances

Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the US House of Representatives, has urged a swift end to the Democrats' contest to nominate a presidential candidate.
Mrs Pelosi, a senior Democrat, told ABC News it was important to get behind one candidate if the party expected to win the White House in November.
A number of supporters of Barack Obama have been calling for his rival Hillary Clinton to concede the race.
Mrs Pelosi did not say which candidate she preferred.

Can one hope this latest incident would slow Mrs. Clinton down, and make her think about Mrs. Pelosi's words twice? But she probably feels it's now or never!!!

Alright...I'm hauling this thread out of the mothballed trunk!!

The undying Hillary really put her foot into her mouth this time:

Clinton raises spectre of assassination

Hillary Clinton has given many reasons for remaining in the presidential primaries even as Barack Obama's victory appears inevitable, but when she mentioned political assassination as a rationale for staying in the race, she undermined what is already a shaky bid for the Democratic nomination. Ms. Clinton referred to the June, 1968, assassination of Robert Kennedy while she was campaigning in South Dakota Friday, when asked by a newspaper editorial board about calls for her to concede the Democratic nomination.
“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right?” she told the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know, I just, I don't understand it.”
To bring up the assassination was seen as grossly inappropriate by many observers, in light of concerns Mr. Obama could face similar violence.

Can you imagine the power struggles in the Oval Room if Hillary is the VP? We'd see Obama, Hillary and Bill all trying to make decisions! Now that would be a cluster wouldn't it? Hillary and Bill are now desperate. I'm surprised no one has disappeared or been found dead on the lawn of a Park area yet with bullet wounds from a weapon found 100 yards away.
